As far as the 2026 midterms elections are concerned, the voting calculus is really very simple.
The political Left has always detested Trump with every fiber of their being; sustained Trump Derangement Syndrome will do that and much worse. Which translates to zero votes for GOP candidates from the Left on Election Day. Furthermore, the liberal side will show up in great force to cast their ballots for anyone but a Republican so beholden have they been to Trump’s bellicose policies and warmongering agenda.
The political Center only voted for Trump/Vance because they were not Harris/Walz. And, all that was needed was one major Trump campaign promise to be broken, and especially starting a new war of choice (and aggression) on behalf of Israel, to guarantee either a swing to the Democrat column in November or a non-voting Election Day.
The political Right voted as never before in 2024, first and foremost, because Trump promised to stop all armed conflicts and start no new wars. The U.S. Warmonger-in-Chief has since gone full bore in the opposite direction, and then he continuously begs for a Nobel Peace Prize on top of that unparalleled and ongoing presidential catastrophe. So we know who will NOT show up at the poll booth — by the millions — on November 3rd.
Bottom Line:
Trump has set up the Republican side of the aisle for a truly disastrous midterm election defeat. That outcome will then guarantee his impeachment by the House and conviction by the Senate, as well as likely incarceration for outright treason against the Republic. His greatest crime: starting an unprovoked war of naked aggression against Iran on behalf of an extremely dangerous foreign enemy—Israel.
Moreover, the electorate will not countenance the sacrificing of so much American blood and treasure for the cause of attempting to bring about a full-blown “Armageddon” scenario throughout the Middle East for Christian Zionists in the USA and Jewish Zionists in Israel.
Given the sheer madness of it all, perhaps Trump’s sentence of capital punishment by hanging for traitors will instead find him sequestered away in a highly secure mental institution for the criminally insane for the rest of his natural life. This grim political reality for the Republican Party points to one very likely event between now and Election Day. President Trump will likely use a major war like this Iran conflict or a 9/11-level false flag terrorist operation (again perpetrated by Israel) in order to seize power permanently thereby illicitly keeping his POTUS position for an indefinite period of time.
