Something staggering just took place in Washington, DC that caused the US position on the Russia-Ukraine Conflict to make an almost 180° turn. Last night, President Donald Trump publicly stated ‘I’m not happy with President Putin at all,’ and went on to say “We’re going to give more weapons to Ukraine. . . .”
It was just last week when the Pentagon said it would hold back delivering some air defense missiles, precision-guided artillery, and other weapons due to concerns that U.S. stockpiles declined too much. Yet yesterday, President Trump said this:

A Pentagon spokesperson said yesterday ‘At President Trump’s direction, the Department of Defense is sending additional defensive weapons to Ukraine to ensure the Ukrainians can defend themselves while we work to secure a lasting peace and ensure the killing stops.’
This appears to be something like dealing with a Schizophrenic. One moment, the US acknowledges Russia’s national security concerns and realizes that having Ukraine in NATO, with American missiles on Ukraine soil with a five minute or so flight time to Moscow is something the Russians’ cannot tolerate. The next moment, the US pivots back to a sort of child-like “Russia bad” position.
AS the US goes through this sort of Schizophrenic alteration, more and more people on both sides of the conflict, are getting killed. Russia is making significant territorial gains and its war-making ability continues to increase.
