This document outlines the trends and directions for the future of mobile communications, reflecting the evolving demands of communication operators and users, the rise of artificial intelligence (AI) technology, and the ongoing standardization trends in the industry.
The white paper highlights the need for technological advancements to manage increasing data traffic and enhance user-perceived performance in the 6G era. It anticipates the emergence of new services such as immersive reality, digital twins, massive communications, ubiquitous connectivity, and fixed wireless access. To address these market demands, Samsung has identified four core themes: AI Integration, Energy Efficiency Improvement, Coverage Expansion, and Next-Generation Security
