‘Chthonic’ is one of those more exotic, collegial, nerdy-words, especially since it presents to us readers two consonant clusters ‘ch’ + ’th’ (or ‘digraphs’) crashed up together before it gets to its vowel, but at least as a merely two syllabic coinage it is easy to pronounce—/thon-ik/ as rhyming with ‘tonic.”
Not so surprising, it comes to our English language from ancient Greece, see:
Who Were The Chthonic Greek Gods? 5 Gods & Their Myths
https://www.thecollector.com/who-were-the-chthonic-gods-myths/
“The chthonic gods in Ancient Greece resided in or were associated with the underworld and the dead. The most prominent chthonic gods were Hades, Persephone, Demeter, and Hecate … The Furies, the other notable chthonic deities, played an important role in mythology and literature. The Ancient Greeks feared these gods of the underworld because of their associations with the dead and the idea of death itself.”
Death itself. H’mm.
Religion allows us realize, in our imaginations at least, that we have the gift of immortality—that we, continuing on as a soul with some semblance of ego-intelligence will continue to exist forever (transcending death like a miracle) after our mortal time of old age and feebleness on this planet has played out (our chthonic time that would normally go to the grave and obscurity).
But might this whole immortality thing be a bit of wishful or megalomaniacal wishing? Personally, I rather like the idea of death really being death—you know no more awareness of any kind—no possibility of pain, no chaos, or political or social nightmares, no more boredom and nasty things like war and disease. Insubstantiality seems an OK pillow to rest on. Oblivion yes. Forever might get dreadful. Who knows.
Ernest Becker wrote a book called The Denial Of Death. Here is a video review:
Why We Fear Death | The Denial of Death by Ernest Becker

[Note: It is not my purpose here to strenuously argue for or against the reality of God, religion, the supernatural or an afterlife. Suffice it to realize some of us of a more agnostic nature have alternative belief systems—that are ‘not’ affected, in some way, by demonic delusion. These can be understood in secular terms as this papers presents them.]
However, EVIL is real, very real, regardless of religious belief, and it can be important to understand this difference? Even if it were limited to the drama of human life and history in the here and now it is still very serious.
So religious people who believe in traditional religions still have need to understand how non-traditional believers think without ascribing to them labels like heretics or doctrinal-deniers—as if this automatically means they are really under Lucifer’s spell. One can think differently without outside influences.
Regardless as to whether there is an afterlife, our life and death is part of our chthonic reality. Like other mammals, after death, our bodies disintegrate and eventually turn into other parts and processes of the material universe.
Etymonline.com (internet’s word origin online dictionary) says: Chthonic is the “Latinized form of Greek khthonios “of the earth, in the earth,” from khthōn “the earth, solid surface of the earth.”
We are talking biology and geology and human burial into the tough turf terrain of ground-breaking after the work of digging with shovels is over—and looking down below.
According to the typical ‘atheist’ interpretation on life and ultimate meaning there is no meeting your maker. There are no more realizations our experiences after you stop breathing (even if there are near-death experiences). No more pain (hell) nor pleasure (heaven) which frankly can be a blessing. This includes no supernatural being like angels and devils helping or haunting you. No alternative realms of Heaven and Hell or purgatory.
Instead, death can, and does, mean really being dead—like we often assume happens to other animals. Dust into the wind. And the main point for us in this essay: there is no ‘supernatural’ Satan or Lucifer messing with human lives with some goal of severing our relations with the Lord or an afterlife. Naturally in this take the Book of Revelations is at best poppycock fiction.
This is not to conclude that there is no evil or Satanism. Instead we can look at these realities from different angles. Rather it is ‘we’ mortal humans who engage in evil and Satanism such as deceit and crimes while we live in this realm. Take it for what it might be worth.
You might then be asking if this theory is more in line with ancient Greece beliefs versus Judeo-Christianity beliefs. Actually, not so much.
We want to, and need to be able to discern what is real about evil in connection to politics and religion—including focus on how societies can harbor cultures, and religious license that engage in extra devises of evil while utilizing the faculty of language, such as lies, to either hide evil or to down play its reality—because we are all vulnerable.
Belief in God(s), and other supernatural deities, is a product of the human imagination—which then ‘projects’ human behaviors and judgements onto imagined Supernatural entities like God. More importantly the manipulation of such beliefs can give excuse to unethical behaviors and judgements since many traditional believers are conditioned never to question all the doctrines and dogmas that might exploit such systems of thought.
The philosophical atheist will claim it is the human imagination which creates religions (sometimes over centuries with many human voices and perspectives handed down as stories both verbally and then more codified by writing).
[Note: Sorry if this is starting to sound pedestrian. Some people see the word Satanism in the title and are expecting want juicy and wicked drama about drinking blood and sexual rituals, etc. We are going to get to a form of evil that’s pretty substantial—that is the cultural hiding of real evil and crime behind the façade of religious dogma—as a way to give excuse to what normally is not excusable.]
Important point: belief is not the same thing as verifiable fact (and frankly it does not matter one iota how many millions and billions of people care to differ).
The Bible is a set of stories, some of which try to describe injustice in this world, and trying to provide hope for future justice by the intervention of supernatural power. This is why popular religions we are familiar have Supernatural beings that resemble us humans—because we have cravings for meaning, order, truth and a sense of justice.
Therefore, our Gods tend to be larger versions of our own psychology. Because we humans judge so too does God judge (with surprisingly similar lines of reasoning). Because we humans find ourselves in need of forgiveness and mercy (as we live in communities that require give and take) so too do some supernatural beings, like Jesus, forgive and have mercy onto others. Because humans live in tribes and communities so too does ‘our’ chosen God have preference for our respective peoples’ and ways of valuing things. Because we a need, not just to judge others regarding violations, but retribution as well, so too do religions present forms of justice and punishment via God’s precepts.
Anthropologists have a word for attributing our human condition onto deities and fictional supernatural beings. It’s called to anthropomorphize—to morph (shape) like anthropos (mankind), or to attribute human attributes onto other creatures and things, even like English speakers talking in English to their dogs, and Spanish speakers talking Spanish to their gatas (cats). But technically we know these animals do not understand much of what we communicate, as we pretend because eventually, they too understand some verbal cues aligning with other cues.
Now one important reality to bear in mind is that most children are ‘indoctrinated’ into their religious belief systems early on, and often enough equally for their cultural beliefs too, that is before they develop critical thinking skills—and therefore their overall presiding moral orientations are formulated without the sophistication of separating out the irrational and the unwholesome. Here is one example of children early on being programmed:
Palestine Talks: How Israel’s education system brainwashes children – Part 1
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SRbAKrLfXZw
If you object to a seeming switch-baiting from ‘religious’ orientation to ‘cultural’ orientation—and it is your right to do so—but know others have an equal right to differ. The Judaic religion is not just a religion of moral principles. Arguably it is one of the most culturally specific and chthonic religions of any in existence. It, more than most well-established forms of prominent religion, worships territorial land in the Levant and that seems as ‘chthonic’ as any religion can get.
Most religious sects of Judaism believe in what essentially turns out to be one long Palestinian land grab starting all the way back to Abraham himself—who was supposedly born around 4000 years ago. Nevertheless, he too was equally a ‘foreign-outsider’ from Mesopotamia, but who was ‘magically’ told to migrate west into Philistinian lands because, supposedly, their ‘real’ God of Noah claimed Abram was destined to start a Great Nation for our entire world—nothing a little megalomaniacal here mind you. See video:
The Entire Life of Abraham on a Map – A Biblical Journey Revealed
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DiHPAceetyk
“At this point, Abraham is still called Abram … the name Abram ends up staying in Haran for years, building a life there until his father dies. Only then, at 75 years old, does Abram leave again. This time with his wife Sarai and his nephew Lot, heading deeper into unfamiliar territory. Their journey brings them into the land of Canaan, a place already filled with people and deeply entrenched religious practices.”
Did you get that? Canaan was ‘filled’ with peoples around 4000 years ago and probably equally so 14,000 years ago.
It was never within modern history (as ‘modern’ here means some thousands of years of civilization building) a non-contested territory.
Rather it is easy to argue the Levant, in general, was heavily contested for thousands of years, way before Abram or Noah were even born (assuming they had real, non-fictional based human biographies around this time so ascribed—unlike Moses who some serious scholars claim did not even really exist).
Moreover, according to science like archeology, human ancestors have been migrating out of Africa for at least 70,000 years, and a good many made their way through the lands of what is now Egypt and Canaan. See video with maps:
Map Shows How Humans Migrated Across The Globe
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CJdT6QcSbQ0
So, while the story of Judaism assumes mankind is a relatively recent species coming from Adam and Eve as the first humans, scholarly discovery has shown rational man’s evolution a different story, as a species far more complicated and elongated.
Moreover, those early human migrants, at least some, surely, likely, too considered the lands of Palestine equally a source of milk and honey for themselves and found the place like a so-called homeland?
Those territories, we can well assume, were disputed over for a mighty long time. And it was not so much a matter of diplomacy as much as it was a matter of forceful warfare and genocide (before the word was coined). Blood and destruction are realities for this complex historical region (chthonic animal / human behavior).
And to study the Bible, we invariably come to realize there was a LOT of violence within. When I ask Google AI: “How many times did the god of the bible order massacres?” I get this kind of following synopsis:
[And sorry for this rather long digression (the next two pages) but these realizations on ‘human’ killing directed by God, that is, supposedly justified by religion, or the Old Testament God’s (Adonai’s) commands is rather important:]
“AI Overview
In the Bible, God is recorded as ordering or directly executing massive scale killings (often referred to as holy wars, herem, or genocides) multiple times. While there is no single consensus count because of differing interpretations of text, skeptical and scholarly analyses consistently point to dozens of instances. The exact nature of these events sparks heavy theological debate.
Bethinking.org …
“1. Directly Executed by God (No Human Agents)
- The Great Flood (Genesis 6-8): God wipes out nearly all of humanity and land animals because of rampant evil and corruption on Earth.
- Sodom and Gomorrah (Genesis 18-19): God destroys the cities and their inhabitants with fire and sulfur.
- The Plagues of Egypt (Exodus 11-12): God directly strikes down the firstborn sons of the Egyptians (as well as livestock) during the final Passover plague.”
Bethinking.org
“2. Commanded by God (Executed by Human Armies)
- The Conquest of Canaan (e.g., Deuteronomy 20, Joshua 6): God commands the Israelites to totally destroy multiple specific nations and their cities, such as the Hittites, Amorites, and Jebusites.”

- “The Amalekites (1 Samuel 15): God orders King Saul to completely annihilate the Amalekite people—including women, children, and infants—in judgment for historical attacks they made against the Israelites when they left Egypt.”

- “Idolatry Laws (Deuteronomy 13): God commands the Israelites to slaughter entire towns if a few inhabitants introduce the worship of other gods, destroying the people, their livestock, and their property entirely.”

- “Skeptical and Historical Perspectives: Secular scholars and skeptics (such as those at ngs resulting in millions of deaths the Skeptic’s Annotated Bible) catalog well over 50 instances of holy war massacres or divine killi. They categorize many of these as sanctioned genocides or ethnic cleansings.”
Wikipedia
- “Theological Perspectives: Many apologists and theologians (such as those at The Gospel Coalition) argue that the term “genocide” is an anachronistic or incorrect framework. They argue that these commands were divine judgments against systemic wickedness and child sacrifice, and note that the language used reflects ancient Near Eastern warfare rhetoric rather than a command for total, indiscriminate slaughter.”
Frankly that was a lot of murder.
Normally we do not use the legal term murder in warfare—but it is murder nonetheless even if societies somehow think killing outside one’s group is less so.
Why was there so much God-directed murder just so one people or tribe could have a piece of real estate–supposedly thousands of years ago (even as we now tend to assume God, now to understood as a more universal god, who equally created all mankind and all beings and things?
Why then such partiality?
He wasn’t a Universal God regardless of what people believe today. He was totally tribal and completely partial. His enemies did not revere or worship this murderous butcher.
Still, it seems an evil calculus, doesn’t it?
But of course, humans didn’t always need God’s tolerance to create warfare. They did not bother to justify their worldly actions with divine appeasement literature. Still it sure seems one way to convince those not so disposed to go along to get along to not question any moral opposition to these kinds of flagrant violence.
After all, even today, how many of us are conditioned or encouraged to think we can question God’s logic or will? Can we humble mortals dare to question an all-knowing Supernatural Creator Highest-Order God?
Historically, our place is on our knees praying. The old Latin meaning of ‘pray’ via Latin precare, is to entreat or to beg. Beggers can’t be choosers. It’s a bold move to go from begging to demanding a fair accounting of things psychologically, which generally only takes place by a sliver of the intellectually inclined like Barach Spinoza.
Still, from an earlier historical millennial perspective (before mass education and colleges offering courses on logic and philosophy) it would have been easier to adopt a Tribal War God who inadvertently, always rooted for the home team—no matter how bloody the massacre or how lavish a largesse of the spoils to be appropriated within one’s group?
Regardless, it was quite the brainwash to convince mortal creatures, who are always of limited awareness, and existing on the naiveté of one mere lifetime, that their Godhead and its theology could be so brutal, vicious and possessive.
Also, we should note, that not only are we humans territorial but so also are many species of living creature. There is something innate in the mammal to want to dominate or control various lands and territories—even to the point of mass killing. Warfare, and every aspect of warfare (including psychologically lies and brainwash) is not unique to modernity. It grows out of the soil and multiples into agricultural societies.
Still, it became quite an accomplishment for adherents of Judaic and Christian belief systems to accept the idea that their supernatural and spiritual God-leader could be as territorial and partial, but in this case of the Middle East, only for ‘some’ humans—so much so—that not only would he, Adonai, tolerate such violence with headstrong determination for bloody conquests, but he would actively espouse conquest of human death and all manner of war booty. If this is not chthonic then what the heaven is chthonic—that is when God himself is running the Department of War?
What if your neighbor, three doors down, had a vision that his High God gave him an angelic vision that his family clan had legitimate rights to all the gold in Fort Knox, and if it were found to have been stolen his clan had all manner of supernatural right to smite those who stole it? Moreover, this clan creates a whole religion on the same basis—along with printing presses and church doctrines. Should the rest of society simple go along with this claim of God-ordained treasure appropriately passed on?
Why, frankly were ‘any’ officious Divine Godheads meddling in the affairs of human conflict, be it internecine or international affairs?
Is it because it seems a masterful stroke of brainwash—that is to justify what are really human, tribal or national affairs—and nothing really being blessed by anything considered Sacred or Supernatural (yet still used as supreme justification)? Seems very much so.
In fact in a wider discussion, is there anything really moral about the three Abrahamic religions—even if plenty adherents are so prone to partiality and prejudice?
Falsified religious history and dogma, then became more the mechanism for declaring certain rights and properties for certain insider peoples or tribes considered Yahweh’s special favorites. Pretty crafty. Still, it takes a fair percentage of gullible people to go along with such notions.
Some think Niccolo Machiavelli knew the best means of manipulating people. One wonders.
Why, really, was this ancient, Abrahamic religion so concerned with justifying a land grab—even to the point of killing so many millions peoples—as we reflect now from our 21st century hindsight—realizing those lands were truly settled and fought over dozens of centuries before some dude named Noah, and his Arc, landed there in the Mesopotame, to create a psychic stir, later to be recorded as tribal history, almost straight from Central Casting, with his vision of what he and Abram’s own supernatural Godhead had willed as predetermined?
Moreover, it was not just land that tribal war Gods cashiered. Such battles included the sometimes the gaining of cattle, oxen, sheep, precious metals, women, children, and other spoils of war. Sounds pretty worldly and chthonic?
Arguably this was before modern day students went to college to study arguments on International Law and Comparative Anthropology.
Meanwhile, primatologists too, are coming to understand warfare within ‘our’ broader primate species:
The Chimpanzee Stone Age Just Took a Dark Turn
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=txsojz1Pnas&t=52s “We used to think that humans were the only species capable of organized war, but we were wrong. In Uganda, a community of chimpanzees is currently locked in a brutal and violent civil war. It’s a campaign of strategic violence, targeted assassinations, and territorial expansion. This conflict is so brutal, it forces us to redefine what it means to be human.”
But guess what.
Neither side of this brutal war between chimpanzee tribes was likely to simultaneously evolve from an elaborate set of religious stories (or stories concocted after the fact) to explain in Supernatural terms why one side of this conflict had been hand-picked by a Special Deity to justify violence or conflict—and moreover to justify the “eternal right” to a deed to steward in such luscious jungle and maintain viable territory eternally.
This takes a rather elaborate language and brain. Most animals are left to their own time frame of history to carve out their existence on this biological planet with no benefit of some claim to sacred lore.
Whereas the human mind, with its elaborate capacities and vulnerabilities, can be overwhelmed with religious lore to literally brainwash the naïve to believe in practically anything—once skeptical and critical thinking skills are suspended (or never taught or reinforced).
For example, Judeo-Christianity uses the fear of God; the fear of God’s judgments; the fear of God’s abandonment; the fear of God’s creation of supernatural angels turned rebels or daemons (whose sole goal, as propagated, is get humans to sin against ‘their’ God); the fear of eternal punishment in excruciating pain of hell; etc., to traumatize and proselyte vulnerable beings into believing that which one would not normally believe without all these fear pressures. Not to mention all the crazy horror stories in the Book of Revelations.
This is head-twisting amount of fear-based psychology. Where are the Psychology and Political Science Departments analyzing these things—that have so much effect on modernity? Frankly it is psychological abuse—after all these centuries?
Why, for example, would the Catholic Church had bothered to carry out their inquisition trials against witches if not for the inordinate amount of manipulated fear? Why would they have tortured and killed innocent people if not for the fact they believed such witches were under the control of Satan and the subsequent damnation of eternal torture of hell? Christianity, for some, is a religion heavily based in fear and paranoia while it preaches love and tolerance. It’s a bit schizoid.

Why, we should ask, did so many people engage in religious wars, or used the excuse of religion for war making, such as various religious sects harboring inordinate fears that they might not be believing in the “religiously-correct” system of beliefs for salvation? One Christian sect at war with a different Christian sect based on doctrinal differences? It was not just academic—one’s soul feared eternal damnation—the exact set of beliefs mattered.
And salvation from what—from a totalitarian God’s after-life of eternal hell-scape of pain and suffering? Did a moral God really need to threaten to punish his creatures so heavily—as eternal punish? Even most torture prisons and worldly tyrants like Donald Trump’s friend, Nayib Bukele President of El Salvador, cannot do that.
How did so many, over so many centuries, come to conclude this was an acceptable form of religious justice? Rather most did not think about it from a larger form of consideration.
Instead of the Bible’s God taking responsibility for how human history and man’s ways unfolded—he blamed his subjects, that he, himself created, when things do not go his way—despite the fact that no human he created is omniscient or omnipotent like God himself, who is supposedly this ultra-impressive.
Therefore, the God of Judaism and Christianity, more or less, almost demands you understand him as a mere petulant and petty tyrant—one not deserving of respect or worship. It is time for humanity to wake up with some clarity on moral sensibilities. In fact one could argue there is little that is truly moral in the Old and New Testaments.
Now, 4000 years later, we have Israeli soldiers enterprising with every form of torture and murder imaginable—and even advertising their sadistic crimes on Tiktok and social media. Meanwhile:
Why is evidence of Israel’s war crimes in Gaza disappearing? | The Take
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8JUMIX3_6yE
And what is the moral justification for this modern insanity of not being able to compromise with other gentile peoples and utilizing excessive cruelty? What drives IDF’s brutality?
Does it not ultimately boil down to Judaic religion’s / Zionist’ trash-level promises of the land belonging to these newer, fanatical, Caucasian Jews—and because enough brain-addled Christian Zionists also go along with this chthonic horse manure—they think they are on some divine mission?
There is no way Israelis would be getting away with this much murder, assassination, aggressive war strategy and cruelty were it not for what seems to amount to a sociopathic religion used to justify such crimes.
This is the chthonic nature of their religion—it is built on delusion and greed. From a political point of view, it has little to nothing to do with any decent person’s idea of morality, humanity and charity and everything to do with conquest, bloodlust and exploitation.
Whereas, philosophically, we need to ask ourselves what really is evil. Is it not generally that which is perceived as a threat to health or existence?
Surely, at times there can be something ego-centric or ethno-centric in its perception. Eating a McDonald’s double hamburger may not seem evil to me while licking my chops, but the cattle, whose lives may have suffered unpleasant episodes to create the red-blooded burger meat may have felt threatened and harmed.
This is not to argue or suggest all is relative and therefore dismissible. Absolutely not. No, many within our human species can agree to ethical and moral principles and we do—such as behaviors we often deem crimes and arrogant violations of humanity—irrespective of religious decree.
All the evil we really know and ascertain is a reality that takes place here on and within planet earth—and not so much documented elsewhere; and, frankly not really evolving or stirring from elsewhere. Human evil does not require supernatural forces.
Evil empires, in which prominent groupings of people practice evil, and justify their evil with laws and fascist attitudes, are similar to crime and mafia-like enterprises.
Evil cultures can adapt brainwashing campaigns including even religions and media campaigns of lies and censorship, and equally claim to be the eternal victimized party while they are the ones victimizing others.
Listen here Israel! Know that we true Americans of the American Revolution do not want anything to do with your nation or people as it currently manifests itself. Your culture is thoroughly a pariah state and much of the world knows it! The following itinerary is a seemingly harsh listings of Israel’s violations against others. Here then is a Note to both Israel and the government of the United States (all you traitors):
We will be a free people—no matter how long it takes. We know of your long-term and flagrant corruption. We will not allow for your suffocation of our Constitution and Bill of Rights. The Eagle of Freedom will eventually come to claw away the suffocating Snake realities of Israel’s dominance and exploitation of our culture! Let this stand as a resolve that we ‘true’ Americans make as an eternal pledge to ourselves. No matter how long it takes we will never succumb to racist and supremacist monsters.
Furthermore, we are not interested in any elitist notion about any one peoples somehow being a light onto the rest of the world. Practice whatever religion you care but do not interfere with the rest of humanity, as if you, and only you, have some special awareness and capacity to direct and control others.
The fact remains that terrestrial land in the Levant has taken on incredible meaning to Judaic lore and religion for many centuries. The city of Jerusalem is considered so sacred, and the land of Israel is hyped as blood-right into the Jewish identity indefinitely. It is all part of thousands of years of conditioning.
Many Jews and Zionists alike cannot separate their culture from those Palestinian parcels of land most modern Jews have not ever previously lived (nor their ancestors even for hundreds of years).
Then when the historical precedent of nationalist movements built in the 18th century then suddenly, along with all the alienation they were feeling (no fault of their own of course) in Russia, Eastern Europe and say Germany, etc., they too realized they had to have their supposedly ancient land that their Adonai promised them—even though genetically they currently are very different from the darker peoples living there at the time.
Actually, we should be asking why are the Jews who dominate Israel are so Caucasian or white and act so often like they are European types of people—applying logic and rationality when they choose to.
Some power dons donate money to institutions like colleges and political parties and then use the same money gifting to destroy the democratic values they pretend to honor—such as getting people college presidents fired if they do not kowtow to Zionist shills and other stupid but arrogant billionaires.
Regardless, we will continue and quote from the ‘many’ modern Jews who have adopted true American values like John Mearsheimer, Stephen Walt, Jeffery Sachs, Max Blumenthal, etc., etc. because ultimately it is not a Jewish Question—rather it is a Torah Question.
Israelis are still quoting from their religious texts to justify the same old land grab that never ends—and going big with some Greater Israel. This justification is ethnocentric in nature and not just for Zionism but the Old Testament or Torah in general.
People who think Zionism is merely some distortion of a truly sacred and humane religion of traditional Judaism are blindsided by hope and optimism because they are refusing to see the immoral flaws that go back thousands of years straight into the Pentateuch itself.
Apparently there needs to be a new term like anti-Torahism in the sense of establishing a wall of resistance to the idea that old religious laws have much to do with modernity for the world.
The Bible of Brutality has seen its day.
There are plenty books on religion as related to war. See Fields of Blood: Religion and the History of Violence by Karen Armstrong. None of these realities are sacred nor Godly. They are based on brainwash and chthonic ambition.
Evil knows no limitations. A real Satanism is the decision to respect nothing nor to consider anything sacred. Every form of evil is open as an option to get one’s earthly ways and earthly needs met—regardless of the means. It is the law of the jungle. It is brute force and cruel intimidation. This is how the atheist world of modern Israel really works—while hiding behind a pretense of religious zeal and Godly approval. It is essentially built on moral lies.
Truth and fair-play to these henchmen and mafiosos are for the losers.
Even debating history is a sophisticated game of deceit—as deceit warriors are trained to brainwash the masses. There is no attempt to explore truth—it is always more lies as good as comes from Netanyahu himself:

Religions and religious laws, especially ancient lore, should not be used to justify modern history and future outcomes—especially as related to International Law. It has little place in human diplomacy.
Therefore, religions too need the same scrutiny that all other forms of ‘human’ persuasion require.
On this month of the 250th year of our Nation of the United States of American we need to recognize our current limits to understanding how we are being manipulated—including and especially by religious misunderstandings.
And, note, this is ‘not’ an argument to be anti-religion in general. There is wisdom and tradition and worthy values to be found in all religions, but the idea of blind allegiance to such institutions is not in the world’s best interests. This should be clear.
There may well be a creator God of immense power. Why not? How could the naïve human mind know otherwise? But realize that no human, even before Noah, and other so-called prophets who made various claims, had any real capacity to know otherwise. There will never be a human with the capacity to understand and appreciate a Supernatural Creator. Therefore, we cannot allow any people and their religious precepts to dictate to us their control based on flawed psychology and politics.
Amen.
P.S. Israel, you are coming down your mountain, you and your Yahweh, Amen.
