Despite the fragile, if not extinguished ceasefire, amidst growing Strait of Hormuz tensions escalating the current war between US and Iran over the Middle East maritime chokepoint where 20% of all the world’s supply of oil and gas passes through, less than a month ago it was reported that Indonesia and the United States were quietly making mutual defense agreements likely involving another critical geopolitical chokepoint through the Strait of Malacca where virtually all oil/gas shipped to China and Pacific Asia navigates. As Iran asserts its control over the Hormuz Strait, geopolitical focus extends to potential conflict over the narrow Malacca Strait that separates the Indian and Pacific Oceans as the gateway to Pacific Asia. It stands out today as the largest, most critical oil transit chokepoint in the world.
The Strait of Malacca’s narrowest point between Singapore to the east and Indonesia’s Sumatra Island to the west is only 2.8 km (1.7 miles) wide. This key international chokepoint contains 30% of all maritime trade essential to US Pacific allies Japan, South Korea and Taiwan along with the entire Pacific Asia region that includes both China and Indonesia as the second and fourth most populated countries on earth. Also, the world’s most populous nation India depends on the Malacca Strait for much of its maritime trade, coming from and to China and Pacific Asia. One can thus argue that this single chokepoint is the planet’s most important narrow passageway for global trade today, directly involving three of the four most populous nations on the planet, all three BRICS member nations.
Much of City of London’s (CoL) puppet dictator Donald Trump’s foreign policy against Iran is ultimately aimed at covertly controlling China’s access to oil and gas. As the world’s manufacturing center, China could not survive if its vital oil and gas supply line was severed. With the waning Anglo-American-Zio Empire in rapid decline and American unipolar hegemony officially over as exposed in its war against Iran, it marks the historic shift in the balance of power as the loss of US global power is exposed, eclipsed by the rising Pacific giant China as the next global kingpin. Moreover, for years US top defense experts have unanimously maintained that China is America’s #1 adversary. Thus, their strategic geopolitical objective now that Iran’s control over the Hormuz Strait is irrefutable, next comes the US focus to gain control over China’s energy supply chokepoint with the Malacca Strait, through which 70-80% of its imported crude oil transits.
This item was secretly high on US War Secretary Pete Hegseth’s itinerary wish list meeting in late February in Washington with his Jakarta counterpart, Defense Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin. Just ahead of the meeting, Indonesia’s Foreign Ministry sent a confidential urgent letter to Sjamsoeddin, warning against any move that would jeopardize relations with China or Russia by tipping the global balance of power in America’s favor. Among the topics up for discussion reported in the press involved granting the US permission to fly over Indonesian territory. Untrustworthy US, notorious for turning an inch of concession into another neo-colonial mile, historically violatesvirtually every agreement and treaty it ever signs.
An April 13th Reuters article reports that the Indonesia Defense Ministry stated:
Deals with other countries [in this case the US] will protect Indonesia’s sovereignty.
Recalling harsh lessons learned from its past “deals” with the United States, The Jakarta Post published an April 15thop-ed entitled “Second Time Surrender,” warning against any Indonesian government capitulation to the US that could spell more Trojan horse disaster. The article acknowledges a decade under President Joko “Jolowi” Widodo seeking peace and neutrality between the regional power of China versus the global power of US, aligning a little closer towards China, the Jakarta Post editorial accuses the current President Prabowo Subianto of making dangerous deal with the United States that may seriously undermine Indonesia’s sovereignty and neutrality, stating:
Prabowo has twice prioritised US strategic interests at the expense of Indonesian sovereignty. Having just signed the controversial Agreement on Reciprocal Trade (ART) in February, he reportedly approved “blanket overflight access” for US military aircraft during a bilateral meeting with President Donald Trump at the much-criticised Board of Peace in Washington… If it materialises, such blanket access carries the risk that Indonesia will be viewed as a US ally at a time when the tension of great power rivalry is escalating in the Indo-Pacific region… Providing blanket overflight access to the US amounts to a blatant surrender of our sovereignty… ART places Indonesia in a subordinate position, requiring it to align with US trade policies regarding embargoes and sanctions.
This JP bombshell goes on to criticize Prabowo’s complete silence over his failure to condemn Israel-US assassination of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, their joint unprovoked attack and illegal war against fellow Muslim nation Iran, nor Israel’s coldblooded murder of three Indonesian peacekeepers in Lebanon serving in the UN Interim Force. Prabowo’s passive inaction against overt repeated acts of Israel-US aggression speaks volumes while his recent joint Defense MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) signed with the United States clearly shows that under Prabowo’s leadership, Indonesia is sliding backwards, set up to be revictimized again by neo-colonial US Empire.
Indonesians suffer a long dark history of 31 years from 1966 to 1997 under the most brutal military dictatorship of Suharto who, with direct CIA and MI6 funding and support to overthrow Indonesia’s popular nationalist first president Sukarno under the guise of combatting Indonesia’s Communist Party (PKI). Another military insurgency Cold War regime change was on its way, placing Anglo-American Empire’s handpicked henchman General Suharto in charge to incite civil war to murder at least a half million fellow Indonesians, mostly falsely accused of PKI ties from 1965-1970. This mass carnage was actually Indonesia’s fatalistic “first time surrender” to imperialistic American Empire after centuries under the brutal colonial rule as a Dutch colony.
Now with Suharto’s son-in-law and also former General Prabowo Subianto currently in power in Indonesia, it’s a reminiscent throwback to US bloody influence under Suharto. Indonesia is vulnerable again to falling prey to US subterfuge, leading to more regrettable tragedy at the hands of US neo-colonialist hegemony, destructively acting out during its final days of empire.
Retired Marine Corps officer Gary Anderson wrote in an April 27th The American Spectator an article titled “Choke Points and the Future of Naval Power.” To gain the upper hand, he believes the US needs to threaten China’s lifeline by seizing one or more critical trade chokepoints. Though he admits the US currently lacks sufficient number of warships and sufficient Marine Expeditionary Brigades, but if beefed up, they could conceivably be deployed in “chokepoint warfare” campaigns he actually suggests could “prevent WWIII” with China. This strategy has not worked with the lesser power Iran’s Hormuz Strait, and if applied in the Strait of Malacca any time soon, even with sufficient force size, it would only immediately trigger WWIII against China and all its strategic partners Russia, North Korea and Iran as the worst war defeat in US history. US shipbuilding capacity falls woefully short with 465 US warships currently in contrast with China’s 841. Today the US military is incapable of successful chokepoint warfare, and testing it out in the Strait of Malacca would be another gargantuan ruinous failure.
Southeast Asia’s Defence Security Asia website posted a May 1st article headline:
Strait of Malacca Under Pressure: US–Indonesia Defense Pact Sparks Fears of New Global Oil Chokepoint Crisis Targeting China
More from this strategic analysis:
The formalisation of the Major Defense Cooperation Partnership between the United States and Indonesia on April 13, 2026, introduces a new operational variable into Southeast Asia’s maritime equation, where defence cooperation frameworks can translate into persistent military presence near one of the world’s most critical economic choke points. While both Washington and Jakarta emphasise sovereignty, interoperability, and Indo-Pacific stability, the structural implications of expanded operational access near Malacca intersect directly with the long-standing “Malacca Dilemma” faced by China, where energy security vulnerability is deeply embedded in national strategic planning.
Over the past two months, Iran has proven it truly holds all the cards controlling its Strait of Hormuz, regardless of desperado Trump’s fake claims that all along he has been winning his already lost war with yet another failed ceasefire he admits is now “on life support.” So, the US may now be in such dire straits led by a madman to urgently seek opportunistically imposing a stronger US military presence in Asia in partnership with Indonesia to gain control over the Strait of Malacca to cut off China’s oil and gas supply. Thus, the next potential hotspot US war defeat may well include a calamitous US military ploy to seize control over Asia’s chokepoint Malacca Strait. With delusional Trump both frantic and foolish enough to open up a third WWIII warfront challenging arch-rival China to fight on its Pacific Asian doorstep, perhaps also forcibly intervening to fight over Taiwan, this would amount to the final and fatal blow that would destroy America, which is the Great Game goal.
This potentiality is plausibly under present consideration as a desperate last gasp effort to reverse China from overtaking the US as the most powerful, wealthiest nation on earth. This subversive plan seeking control over Malacca Strait has undoubtedly been strategized in the Trump war-room and Xi Jinping will most definitely be confronting Trump face-to-face in Beijing on Thursday May 14th.
With global stakes never higher, as the rising star Red China meets the fallen, failed grifting pariah Trump, the People’s Republic of China also holds home turf advantage in Pacific Asia, if not world, definitely not the overstretched, bedraggled, now frantic US paper tiger, freefalling in real time into historical oblivion. As a delusional last chance to overtake its arch-rival, dementia-ridden Trump and his sycophant War Secretary Paranoid Pete may well be betting their final stake [after plotting their sealed fate] on Malacca Strait.
As already demonstrated, America’s limited war options are not deterring the reckless, feckless Trump from plunging America headlong into yet a more disastrous, perhaps final blunder. Following his City of London masters’ orders to open up World War III on a third warfront in Pacific Asia, after having already thrown in the towel piling up two more US war defeats in Ukraine and Middle East, this one would be the Khazarian mafia controllers’ catastrophic trifecta, ultimately to finish off for good both the United States and entire Western civilization.
As King Charles and Klaus Schwab’s Great Reset unfolds, crashing their bloated debt-based global economy with their kinetic World War III on multiple warfronts, in the ashes of a doomsday war, they’re now bringing on their next post-Covid scamdemic – the hantavirus, in place now to usher in yet more mandated killer vaccines and universal digital IDs as the latest control grid assault on humanity. After all, for over a century, depopulation and one world government have been atop the elites’ eugenics to-do list, co-timed now with their transhumanist AI robotics replacement agenda.
