The Economist/YouGov Poll, Conducted From Feb 20 – 23, 2026 (1,551 U.S. Adult Citizens)
- Only 27% support military action in Iran with 49% against, a net -22% net support.
- If you remove Republicans, 65% of Democrats/Independents Oppose military actions versus just 12% support, which is a -53% net support.
- Only 29% support using military force to overthrow Ayatollah Ali Khamenei versus 39% who oppose.
- If you remove Republicans, 50% of Dem/Ind oppose versus on 16% support, net -34% support.
