With that said, he has watched several Charlie Kirk videos over the years and found him to be a unique kind of guy (that’s not to say that he wasn’t originally set up to be controlled opposition but who then left the reservation). And, yes, he had some problem opinions without a doubt, but what you saw is what he was. However, he was recently changing his most problematic positions on some very weighty matters. In May 2025, Kirk voiced opposition to a bipartisan proposal that would expand anti-Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions laws (BDS) punishing the boycott of Israel, saying, “We’ve allowed far too many people who hate America move here from abroad, but the right to speak freely is the birthright of all Americans.”[91]
Now here’s another brave stance that Kirk assumed, which is a quite precarious one when you are a major conservative figure traveling all over the USA and ascending higher and higher public and private platforms.
Iran–Israel War
In June 2025, Kirk opposed the involvement of the United States in the Iran–Israel War.[123]
The bottom line here is that it really does appear that Charlie Kirk may have been ever so slowly and subtly tracing out a future trajectory not too unlike the truth-talking Candace Owens. And, for that he paid the highest price a truth speaker can ever pay.
