Musk, Scheck and The American (Peace) Party

It was with great joy and satisfaction that I learned of Elon Musk’s call for a new political party which he styles The American Party.

His choice of that title echoed my own label of The American Peace Party (APP) that I had
labored to create for over 50 years starting with my departure from NYC on January 4, 1975 with the goals of 1. solving the JFK assassination; 2. creating a pro-peace and prosperity party and 3. running for president as its candidate. https://stateofthenation2012.com/?p=32281

Two months ago, I “retired” after sufficiently satisfying myself that I had essentially achieved all 3 of them, however imperfectly, after openly campaigning in 2024 as a write-in candidate.

In all 3 of his runs for the White House, Trump embraced the key theme of my non-interventionist new party that abhors all wars, especially those based on lies. His rhetoric consistently mimicked my major focus even if his actions, cabinet appointments and significant conflicts of interest eroded my confidence in his credibility.

The main thing he had going for him each time was the weak choices the opposition Democrats presented to the millions of disgruntled voters eager for an alternative to the warmongering Swamp Creatures repeatedly offered to them by both parties.

In short, MAGA was the APP as modified by Trump, and constituted a successful third party like Lincoln in 1860. https://stateofthenation.co/?p=214783

The Dems resorted to stealing the nomination twice from Bernie Sanders who himself would have carved out a third party with the same anti-war rhetoric articulated by Trump that was central to the APP had he been their candidate in either 2016 or 2020.

Perot, Paul, Buchanan, Nader, Williamson, Stein, West and others have emerged in recent years as prospective alternative voices as did I and other obscure idealists who quixotically attempted to undo the VERY Deep State apparatus with its secrecy, deception and unending wars for Pax Americana.

But its stranglehold on power has prevailed right up to the present moment. Last year, Trump regained the presidency despite amazing obstacles in perhaps the most impressive campaign effort in US history, relying on the full backing of the MAGA faithful and those unable to hold their noses long enough to opt for Harris.

He embraced the challenge of the Biden mess with an ambitious agenda that clearly had the potential to redeem our Constitutional Republic and extricate America from the foreign wars that had all but destroyed it.

But he failed even worse this time than he did back in 2017 by selecting a melange of defective and compromised individuals to comprise his Administration with virtually all of them openly aligned like him with a foreign power advocating a dubious religious agenda.

This combined with Trump’s boastful pledge to end the raging conflicts virtually at once as well as delivering a budget to suffocate the Administrative State was a Herculean task that has proven far too complex for him to overcome.

Now comes Musk, the outlier from abroad (South Africa) who has penetrated deeply into the fabric of our country’s business, financial, cultural and political arenas including our space program after months at the helm of DOGE to pronounce his extreme dissatisfaction with the nearly total failure of Bad Man Orange to perform as promised.

Besides the severe danger of war escalations across Ukraine and Gaza as well as further
unrest in the whole Levant plus threats to China and Iran, the BBB budget battle with its
bloated Pentagon funding demonstrates the enduring strength of the National Security State and its ugly minions like Lindsey Graham who openly mock Trump’s peace plans.

Seeing all this along with millions of others and dissidents like myself, Musk seized on Trump’s vulnerability that was exacerbated by not only his glaring failure to release the JFK, Epstein, 9/11 and other scandal files, but the president’s apparent conflicts of interest because of his previous association with Epstein and ties to the Israel Lobby.

For me the timing is long overdue since I have been urging others whom I have met over the years to take up the challenge and reject the two party duopoly over the electoral process. All found excuses which left me reluctantly holding the bag to show both its necessity and possibility in this modern age of social media saturation which makes all of us potential Influencers almost immediately at little cost if we click enough with the polity like a Taylor Swift, Wayne Johnson, Joe Rogan or Tucker Carlson.

Having reached my 50th State (OK) on June 12, 1976 and building a grass roots base combined with my name recognition as a prolific writer, I went for it in 2024 and floated my credentials on the internet while also approaching the No Labels team which the Dems succeeded in sabotaging.

The July 13th Butler shooting and Biden withdrawal essentially sealed the deal for Trump. Musk, Tulsi, RFK, Jr. and many others jumped on the bandwagon even as I recommended folks withhold their consent in search of a more spiritual future. https://stateofthenation.co/?p=242352

The rest was history until Thursday when after months of Trump only being able to pick off low hanging fruit policy victories, the weight of his inadequacies and dubious policies led to Musk’s public withdrawal and verbal spanking. His remark that resonated the strongest with me was that it was time for a party that represented the 80% of the electorate who had disdain for the two main parties which was exactly the core
of my APP platform.

Will it happen? Can America salvage its soul and liberties at this late date? That remains to be seen.

Sadly for us all, the unmistakable truth at the heart of Musk’s attack is that Trump is NOT the one who should be leading this fight.

Whether because of the suspect July 13th shooting, his personal aggrandizement with business deals he has engineered as president, his narcissistic propensities that lead him to overly personalize policy disputes and/or his deeply suspect embrace of the Zionist agenda, Donald Trump is not the right person to lead the MAGA movement much less an even handed tenure as president of ALL the people!

That dynamic underscores the timeliness of Musk’s pronouncement as well as the foresight and wisdom I displayed in my 50 year quest for something far more sane than Pax Americana.
