‘Silent war’ on occupied West Bank ramping up
Al Jazeera is reporting from Amman, Jordan because it has been banned from Israel and the occupied West Bank.
It’s been argued that throughout Israel’s war on Gaza, there was a silent war going on in the occupied West Bank.
During the Gaza war, Israeli forces intensified near-daily raids across places like Jenin, Nablus and Qalqilya. They say now these raids are going to become more significant.
In the last day, 10 Palestinians have been killed in Jenin and at least 40 others have been wounded.
Medics say they cannot reach the injured, and people have been bleeding out in the streets because of the Israeli checkpoints and blocked-off roads.
The UN estimates there are at least 2,000 families that have been forcibly displaced in Jenin because of the continuing military operation.
