Democrats are poised to take control of Congress through a series of sweeping victories across the country, delivering a thorough rebuke to President Trump by ousting his Republican allies in contests up and down the ballot. Democratic candidates won races in places long considered Republican strongholds, flipping Senate seats in North Carolina and even South Carolina, and captured other offices, like Georgia governor, that Republicans had held for decades.<\/p>\n

Mr. Trump told The New York Times in an interview that he was \u201cabsolutely willing to accept those results\u201d and was prepared to work with Democrats. \u201cWe\u2019ll, you know, look forward to working with them,\u201d he said. \u201cWe\u2019ll probably work something out.\u201d<\/p>\n
