A major, 7.7-magnitude earthquake struck in Panama on Friday, according to the United States Geological Survey<\/a>.<\/p>\nThe temblor happened at 12:56 p.m. Eastern about 7 miles southwest of Pitaloza Arriba, Panama, data from the agency shows.<\/p>\n
