President Trump threatened Thursday that Iran will cease to exist if its leaders do not sign a peace deal with the U.S.<\/p>\n
\u201cNow I have to make a decision. They\u2019ll either sign a very fair deal, or they won\u2019t exist any longer,\u201d Trump told reporters on the South Lawn en route to Oklahoma.<\/p>\n
The president also told reporters that Iran could have been connected to a copilot\u2019s alleged attempt to crash an Israel-bound airplane traveling from Dubai earlier this week.<\/p>\n
\u201cI would say the answer based on what I\u2019m hearing is yes, but we\u2019re working on it right now,\u201d the president said.<\/p>\n
Trump said Wednesday that he spoke \u201cat length\u201d with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu <\/a><\/span>about the incident.<\/p>\n The president\u2019s comments come after he told Time Magazine that he rejected Iran\u2019s latest peace offer.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s just not good enough, nearly,\u201d Trump told the publication, saying he rejected the proposal in part because it only opened \u201csome aspects\u201d of the Strait of Hormuz.<\/p>\n Trump also told Time Magazine that he would not accept any proposals from Tehran that he would not have approved a year ago and said it was possible he could resume the bombing of Iran following November\u2019s midterm elections.<\/p>\n
