others work alone. In both cases, they are allowed to ply their larcenous trade unencumbered by any threats of apprehension by the law. That’s because this Internet-based Scamming Industry is actually set up under a very powerful shadow banking association which profits handsomely from the enormous annual amount of stolen funds. Which means that the scammers are essentially a protected racket by the notorious and powerful banksters.

With that vital understanding, it’s easier to comprehend how the many predacious emails, texts and phone calls just keep on coming with no sign of letting up. They know that all it takes is for the right message to slip through that finally generates a windfall of ill-gotten gains.

Now here’s where it gets very interesting indeed. Any time you open one of those dubious emails or respond to one of their texts (or answer their phone calls), the sender knows it instantly. Then they believe that they may have hooked a live one—A REAL SUCKER!

But the interesting part is that all of the more sophisticated scamming operations are plugged into the latest and greatest LLMs so that they know the best response to give you to convince you to provide them with the “keys to your kingdom” (also known as bank account or credit card). In other words, they’re using some very ‘smart’ interactive AI programs to do their stealing for them.

Now that’s not the worst of it. Because, in many cases, the perps also have a full personal profile on each individual they solicit (i.e. steal from).

How so?

You know all of those never-ending data breaches, since the advent of the Internet in 1995? Well virtually all of them were basically allowed to happen on purpose so that — in July of 2026 — every digitally connected person on the planet has seen their personal information and/or privileged data get into the hands of fraudsters somewhere in cyber-space who should not possess it.

What’s the crucial point?

Well, nowadays, when the perps send you an email or a text, they know exactly who’s receiving it. They most likely have a full profile on you not too unlike the FBI’s file on every American (Only their dossier is more comprehensive). Hence, their custom-built AI programs are able to craft the ‘perfect’ response, even sharing some crucial info that would lead you to falsely believe that they are your best friend from 10 or 20 or 30 years ago. How’s that for a shocker?!

Simply put, the level of advanced AI software, which has been put into service for Internet criminality across the World Wide Web, is now capable of instantaneously crawling through cyber-space so as to conjure up the ideal reply to your response. Quite daunting and scary, yes?

Which is exactly why so many folks are getting taken for a ride… … …right to their local bank so that a withdrawal can be made for the sake of enriching an Internet thief.

KEY POINT: This coaching session has been written particularly for the Boomers for several reasons. First, we’re getting older and more forgetful and increasingly vulnerable to every manner of scamming. Some older Boomers are slowly slipping into an almost imperceptible Dementia profile (they don’t even know it and often their friends are unaware). This common predicament translates to a mind that’s not as sharp as it once was; hence, the Internet predators are on the prowl for their aging and sometimes wealthy prey, especially the Boomers. These Internet scammers know for a fact they they are targeting the richest generation in history, so they’re determined to get while the gettin’s good. Got it?! Good, then make sure you keep it and don’t lose it.

Firsthand Account

I have a client, who is also a close friend, who was accosted by a mutual friend about $250.00 that was stolen by the “close friend” after a fake loan request via text, email. Now I know the “close friend” very well and was quite perplexed that such an accusation could ever be made in earnest by the “mutual friend”. Well, the defrauded individual revealed that she had received a second email and/or text stating that, if she wanted to get her $250.00 back, she would have to pony up an additional $500.00. What?!?!?!

Well that second set of communications completely sealed the deal, so to speak. It proved that the aggrieved party was scammed out of the $250.00 by a criminal party who likely knew she had been previously scammed before; and by using a very similar technique.

In fact, the “mutual friend” had been previously defrauded of upwards of $7000.00 years before, and quite possibly by the very same thief or a colluding affiliate.

Moral of the Story

Don’t ever respond to any suspicious inquiry unless you have authenticated — from the sender — that they are who they say they are. Because once you open the door, you are forever on their list of “SUCKERS”. Just like all the phony political groups and bogus charitable organizations out there: once you give a dime, they routinely sell your contact info to everyone else in the same realm. And then your inbox is chocked full of unwanted solicitations for the rest of your life. Ugh!

Personal Business Testimony

I also happen to be a Holistic Hernia Coach which means that I coach English speakers in 24 time zones around the world. Because of the epidemic of hernias that occurred throughout the entire Covid era, my website HERE was widely circulated which increased its exposure to a degree that was not ‘healthy’ at all. As a result, we started receiving more emails than ever about our services, many of which were obviously phishing attempts. In one particular case, a ‘big businessman’ from Romania sent the picture-perfect request for hernia consultation services, both holistic and surgical. The only red flag was that he wrote that he could only pay by bank transfer and, therefore, he needed our bank account info. After a few back and forths, he convinced me that this was the only way he could proceed. Then we checked out his Internet profile and saw that he appeared to own a business but with very little internet history and commercial activity. Then we realized we had to vet him to the max as we have NEVER given out any bank info whatsoever to anyone. During subsequent emails exchanges with him, his anger and frustration eventually got the best of him thereby exposing him as a highly sophisticated scammer—ABSOLUTELY TOP TIER. Honestly, this guy wrote like a seasoned hernia consultant which indicated his diligent use of AI tools to create those ‘picture-perfect’ emails that nearly conned me to give him the “Keys to the Kingdom”. The scary part of this scammer’s approach is how he appealed to my own unique sensibilities and interests around health matters which meant that he also vetted me to max even before his initial inquiry. WOW!!!

One last takeaway is this: if you think you have seen them all, be aware that these hardcore scammers are always thinking up new ways to scam you, so be vigilant.

The Health Coach
State of the Nation
July 30, 2026

Recommended Reading

Baby boomers are losing their life savings to phone scammers claiming to provide tech support

Scammers are Targeting Boomers

[1

post-74469","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-uncategorized
["GET
