The truth? America already has more data centers than the rest of the world combined. We are not losing the race \u2013 we\u2019re lapping the field.\u00a0[1]<\/a>\u00a0[2]<\/a><\/p>\n Let\u2019s do the math:<\/p>\n China<\/strong>\u00a0has 1.42 billion people\u00a0\u00a0USA<\/strong>\u00a0has 347 million people (China has ~4\u00d7 more people)<\/p>\n USA<\/strong>\u00a0has 5,426 data centers\u00a0\u00a0China<\/strong>\u00a0has only 449<\/p>\n Per person:<\/strong><\/p>\n Simple way to say it:<\/strong>\u00a0The average American is\u00a050 times more likely<\/strong>\u00a0to have a data center \u201cnearby\u201d than the average Chinese.<\/p>\n President Trump wants even more AI data centers and he wants to\u00a0Super-Size<\/strong>\u00a0them into water and electricity guzzling mega monsters. This will make Big Tech and the Federal Government even more powerful and centralized \u2013\u00a0FASCISM.<\/strong><\/p>\n Meta (Facebook) Data Center in Oregon<\/strong><\/p>\n Trump is charging full speed ahead with a new executive order to steamroll his AI agenda (the same one he started in the \u201cBig Beautiful Bill\u201d). This time he\u2019s hitting even harder: he wants to create a federal\u00a0\u201cAI Litigation Task Force\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0whose sole mission is to sue any state that dares slow down his plans.\u00a0[3]<\/a>\u00a0[4]<\/a><\/p>\n In his own words on Truth Social:<\/p>\n \u201cWe MUST have one Federal Standard instead of a patchwork of 50 State Regulatory Regimes\u2026or China will easily catch us in the AI race.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n That post wasn\u2019t just talk. \u00a0It\u2019s the blueprint. The leaked draft executive order is the \u201cPlan B\u201d if Congress won\u2019t play along.<\/p>\n Here\u2019s the brutal reality in plain English:<\/strong><\/p>\n This executive order designates AI data centers a \u201cnational-security emergency,\u201d branding any state laws shielding citizens from deepfakes, job-killing automation, algorithmic bias, or land grabs as direct threats to America if they slow or hinder deployment.<\/p>\n \u00a0Trump\u2019s plan to crush resistance:<\/strong><\/p>\n Remember the Big Beautiful Bill that poured billions into giant AI data centers? An early version banned states from passing ANY AI safety laws for 10 full years. After massive public outrage, that clause was ripped out and many celebrated a rare victory. But others warned that he might slip the same provision into a defense budget plan in the future or take action through an executive order.<\/p>\n Sure enough, just months later on July 23rd Trump signed an \u201cExecutive Order AI Action Plan\u201d threatening to starve \u201cnon-compliant\u201d states of federal funds. Now he\u2019s dropping the pretense entirely and weaponizing the courts and the purse strings to force total surrender.<\/p>\n This isn\u2019t about beating China. It\u2019s a naked federal power grab that guts the 10th Amendment and hands Big Tech a get-out-of-jail-free card forever. States are the last line of defense between you and a future where AI can lie, discriminate, fire you, surveil and track your every move without consequence.
