Much of that is going to be classified for us,\u201d Johnson said in a press conference on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou heard the president talk about how he wants to effectively double the funding for national defense. Look, we live in dangerous times. We\u2019re fighting communism on our own shores, and we\u2019re fighting evil terrorists and tyrants around the world, and we have to be able to protect our national security,\u201d Johnson said.<\/p>\n<p>The White House\u2019s separate request for a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/policy\/defense\/5939421-congress-asked-iran-war-ebola\/?email=467cb6399cb7df64551775e431052b43a775c749&amp;emaila=12a6d4d069cd56cfddaa391c24eb7042&amp;emailb=054528e7403871c79f668e49dd3c44b1ec00c7f611bf9388f76bb2324d6ca5f3&amp;utm_source=Sailthru&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_campaign=06.24.26%20%E2%80%93%20Defense%20%26%20National%20Security\"><u>$87 billion defense supplemental<\/u><\/a>\u00a0includes $67 billion for the Iran war, funds to curtail the ongoing Ebola outbreak, and aid for farmers.<\/p>\n<p>The proposal contains $1.7 billion for Pentagon readiness; $17.3 billion for operational costs; $1.5 billion for fuel costs; $1.2 billion for administration priorities; $21 billion for munitions; $5.1 billion for cybersecurity and autonomy; $2.4 billion for drones;
