Donald Trump<\/a>\u00a0said he spoke with\u00a0Lindsey Graham<\/a>\u00a0over the phone right before he died.<\/p>\n

The Republican senator, who died at age 71 after a \u201cbrief and sudden illness\u201d on Saturday, July 11, was scheduled to appear on NBC News\u2019\u00a0Meet the Press<\/em>\u00a0on Sunday, July 12.<\/p>\n

Trump, 80, instead made a last-minute appearance. There, he told host\u00a0Kristen Welker<\/a> that he spoke with Graham shortly before his death.<\/p>\n

\u201c[He told me] nothing, he said he was feeling a little tired,\u201d Trump said.<\/p>\n

Then nodding to Graham\u2019s recent trip to Ukraine, the president continued, \u201cIt was a long trip, you know, many hours, and he had just gotten back.\u201d<\/p>\n
