— Chanted in unison by all delegates at the opening of the first Jewish Anti-Zionist <\/b>Congress in Vienna (13-15 June 2025). The location of the event was chosen for significant for <\/b>historical reasons – being where Theodore Herzl formed the ideology that became modern <\/b>Zionism, as well as Adolf Hitler\u2019s birthplace – and for modern reasons – Austria, alongside <\/b>Germany, provides unconditional support for Israel, a symptom of its guilt over the <\/b>Holocaust.<\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cZionism is based on the fallacy that there exists a single nation encompassing all the <\/i>world’s Jews. How can Zionism claim that Israel is the nation-state of the Jewish people, <\/i>since the only attribute shared by all Jews is Judaism, a religion and not an attribute of <\/i>nationhood in any modern sense of the word? Jews can belong to various nations – a Jew <\/i>may be French, American, Indian, Argentinian, and so forth – but being Jewish excludes <\/i>other religious affiliations. Thus, this essay argues, the Zionist claim that all the world’s Jews <\/i>constitute a single distinct national entity is an ideological myth, invented as a misconceived <\/i>way of dealing with the persecution and discrimination suffered by European Jews, in <\/i>particular. Indeed, from its earliest iterations and up to the present day, Zionism – a <\/i>colonising project – has been fuelled by an inverted form of anti-Semitism: if, as it claims, <\/i>Israel acts on behalf of all Jews everywhere, then all Jews must be collectively held <\/i>responsible for the actions of that state – clearly an anti-Semitic position<\/i>.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cJudaism, as most people know, is a religious and cultural tradition that dates back over <\/i>5,000 years. Zionism is a political ideology dating from the emergence of ethno-nationalism <\/i>in mid-1800s Europe. Originally an Evangelical Christian idea to rid European society of <\/i>Jews and hasten the Apocalypse, it was weaponised by Britain to install a proxy in the <\/i>Middle East as the Ottoman – and British – Empires crumbled. Given the fact that Israel <\/i>appears to be engineering its own spectacular demise, there is room for hope that Zionism <\/i>won\u2019t survive its 200th birthday. We Jews would do well to reflect on which historical, <\/i>theological, and moral current we wish to follow<\/i>.\u201d<\/p>\n

False.<\/i><\/p>\n

\u201cThe goal of Zionism was to create a Jewish State in a land that was 95% non-Jewish. To do <\/i>that, many, many, many Jews needed to (and still need to) sacrifice their lives to that end.<\/i><\/p>\n

That\u2019s why 1% of the Jews in Palestine died in 1948. 6,000 Jews had to die to make a <\/i>Jewish state possible in a land that was at that time two-thirds non-Jewish.<\/i><\/p>\n

That\u2019s why, in the 1950s, Israel built 108 civilian centres in border areas to serve as a first <\/i>line of military defence, including towns like Nahal Oz, short for Nahlayim Mul Aza, \u201cNahal <\/i>soldiers across from Gaza,\u201d which tragically ended up serving the purpose for which it was <\/i>built, to put Israeli civilians on the frontlines as human shields.<\/i><\/p>\n

That\u2019s why military service is required for most Jews in Israel – the state needs more and <\/i>more Jewish bodies to sacrifice their own lives to ensure acquiescence to the project of <\/i>Jewish domination in Palestine.<\/i><\/p>\n

That\u2019s also why Israel invoked Hannibal directive on October 7th, killing dozens if not <\/i>hundreds of Israelis on that day. Jewish bodies were the sacrificial lambs necessary to <\/i>ensure the Jewish State could maintain its strategic domination over the Palestinians.<\/i><\/p>\n

And that is also why the Israeli hostages and prisoners of war have been left to die, too. The <\/i>State of Israel cares about its own preservation and domination, not about saving Jews.<\/i><\/p>\n

For 76 years, the State of Israel has proven itself to be a total menace to the Jewish people.\u00a0 <\/i>I call on all people who care about the wellbeing of the Jewish people to stop arming Israel <\/i>and stop supporting this genocidal state. The very survival of the Jewish people depends on <\/i>it<\/i>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Zionism is now finally being interrogated from the “standpoint of its <\/i>victims.”<\/i><\/p>\n

It is impossible to continue to monopolise victimhood <\/i>when the state they support is so brazenly committing crimes against humanity, and the <\/i>world is finally taking notice. Zionists genuinely do not care about anti-semitism because of <\/i>the cheap, patently false conflation between anti-Zionism and anti-semitism. As the silenced <\/i>anti-Zionist Jews around the <\/i>argue, Zionism is the agent of anti-semitism<\/i>.\u201d<\/p>\n
