In addition to taking Silicon Valley to task for insufficient patriotism, advocating a role for AI in forever war, and denouncing the \u201cpsychologization of modern politics,\u201d the Palantir post on X declares: \u201cNational service should be a universal duty. We should, as a society, seriously consider moving away from an all-volunteer force and only fight the next war if everyone shares in the risk and the cost.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>National conscription, a form of involuntary servitude, and the wars it portends, are good for business, especially for corporations within the orbit of the Pentagon, the CIA, and the national security state. Palantir fits comfortably within this amalgamation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mass Murder by Artificial Intelligence<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Project Maven is an AI-driven battlefield intelligence system designed by the corporation. The Defense Department, now known as the War Department, employed Maven in 2024 for \u201ctargeting support\u201d in Iraq, Syria, and Yemen. Maven\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/investors.palantir.com\/news-details\/2024\/Anthropic-and-Palantir-Partner-to-Bring-Claude-AI-Models-to-AWS-for-U.S.-Government-Intelligence-and-Defense-Operations\/\">incorporates<\/a>\u00a0the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.democracynow.org\/2026\/3\/18\/ai_warfare\">AI model Claude<\/a>, built by Anthropic.<\/p>\n<p>More recently, in US airstrikes against Iran, \u201cAI systems born from Project Maven have helped identify and prioritize thousands of targets, accelerating intelligence analysis and operational planning,\u201d explains the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnas.org\/events\/project-maven\">Center for a New American Security<\/a>, a military think tank founded by Mich\u00e8le Flournoy, a former under secretary of defense with links to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/washingtonian.com\/2009\/03\/27\/who-are-the-wealthiest-members-of-the-obama-administration\/\">Lockheed Martin and BAE Systems<\/a>. She was the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.serviceyearalliance.org\/michele_flournoy\">principal adviser<\/a>\u00a0to the Secretary of Defense in the formulation of national security and defense policy.<\/p>\n<p>Maven was reportedly used to shorten the \u201ckill chain\u201d during Israel\u2019s invasion of Gaza. \u201cI am proud that we are supporting Israel in every way we can,\u201d\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/nytimes\/posts\/from-the-new-york-times-opinion-section-alex-karp-the-billionaire-ceo-of-palanti\/1224705912845203\/\">CEO Karp<\/a>\u00a0exclaimed. Following the Gaza al-Aqsa Flood in October, 2023, Palantir \u201cprovided Israel with multiple AI-powered data analytics tools for military and intelligence purposes,\u201d notes the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/afsc.org\/gaza-genocide-companies\">American Friends Service Committee<\/a>. The corporation has a \u201cstrategic partnership\u201d with Israel\u2019s Ministry of Defense to assist the Zionist state and its \u201cwar effort\u201d against Palestinian resistance to Israeli military occupation, an armed struggle recognized under\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/law4palestine.org\/do-palestinians-have-the-right-to-resist-and-what-are-the-limits-short-article\/\">international law<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs the genocide in Gaza advances, attention is turning to the companies whose technologies may be facilitating Israel\u2019s daily atrocities, with US-based Palantir Technologies among them,\u201d reports the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.business-humanrights.org\/en\/latest-news\/palantir-spacex-allegedly-complicit-in-war-crimes-amid-israels-war-in-gaza\/\">Business and Human Rights Center<\/a>. \u201cWhile the International Criminal Court (ICC) is stepping in to address genocide accusations, the tech barons who design and supply the tools of warfare remain largely unchallenged.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Another Israeli AI-based targeting system, Lavender, ostensibly developed by the IDF\u2019s Unit 8200, is said to be a Palantir project. Palantir rejected this assertion in a letter sent to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.palantir.com\/assets\/xrfr7uokpv1b\/1aXqmYRvd1KY5SErhxQQyo\/59efaf38eb9c2494752f0131dce714a0\/Palantir_Response_to_UN_SRHRP_Letter_-_22_May_2025.pdf\">Francesca Albanese<\/a>, the sanctioned United Nations Special Rapporteur on the occupied Palestinian territories. In the letter, Palantir stressed it \u201cstands in solidarity with Israel in response to the horrific attacks on 7 October, 2023. Our work in Israel long predates the 7 October attacks and is in line with our global commitment to U.S. allies and liberal democracies. We proudly support our partners in Israel across a multitude of mission sets, programs, and contexts.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Israel utilized Palantir in its September 2024 attacks in Lebanon, employing exploding electronic pagers that resulted in numerous fatalities and injuries, writes\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/investigate.info\/company\/palantir\">AFSC\u2019s Investigate<\/a>. In addition to its collaboration with the Israeli military, Palantir also provides the Gaza Civil-Military Coordination Center with its services. This center is located at the US military compound in Kiryat Gat, which was established in October 2025 to implement the Trump administration\u2019s plan for Gaza. Iran targeted Kiryat Gat in March, 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Maven, incorporating\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/articles\/cdrm52g4pl2o\">Anthropic\u2019s Claude<\/a>, was used to target the Shajareh Tayyebeh primary school in Minab, in southern Iran,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/news\/2026\/mar\/26\/ai-got-the-blame-for-the-iran-school-bombing-the-truth-is-far-more-worrying\">killing 180 people<\/a>, mostly young girls.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ndtv.com\/world-news\/us-iran-war-donald-trump-software-that-rained-death-on-iran-how-palantirs-maven-helped-us-military-11340635\">President Trump<\/a>\u00a0praised Palantir Technologies, saying the company \u201chas proven to have great war-fighting capabilities and equipment. Just ask our enemies,\u201d apparently including children.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cCreepy CEO\u201d Advocates Involuntary Servitude in \u201cService to the West\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cAlex Karp, the creepy CEO of creepy defense contractor Palantir, just can\u2019t stop talking about killing people,\u201d\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gizmodo.com\/palantirs-billionaire-ceo-just-cant-stop-talking-about-killing-people-2000560597\">Lucas Ropek<\/a>\u00a0writes for Gizmodo. \u201cDuring a recent call with investors, the billionaire let it slip that he doesn\u2019t mind a little bloodshed, just so long as the money keeps pouring in.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cPalantir is here to disrupt and make the institutions we partner with the very best in the world and, when it\u2019s necessary, to scare enemies and on occasion kill them,\u201d Karp said, with a smile on his face. The CEO added that he was very proud of the work his firm is doing and that he felt it was good for America. \u201cI\u2019m very happy to have you along for the journey,\u201d he said. \u201cWe are crushing it. We are dedicating our company to the service of the West, and the United States of America, and we\u2019re super-proud of the role we play, especially in places we can\u2019t talk about.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>For Karp, \u201cservice to the West\u201d includes conscription, that is to say involuntary servitude and the possibility of a violent and horrific death for an untold number of men and women drafted to fight the forever wars envisioned by the billionaire elite, including those within the \u201clibertarian\u201d tech sector.<\/p>\n<p>However, forcing an individual against his or her will to kill and possibly be killed for the sake of the state (or foreign states, such as Israel), and in accordance with a \u201csocial contract\u201d that demands submission and obedience, is not libertarian. In the case of Palantir, it is more accurately described as \u201ctechno-fascism,\u201d an alliance between Silicon Valley and the state. Contrary to libertarian principles advocating against government intervention, leading tech companies frequently advocate for regulations that favor established AI companies benefiting from government funding and contracts.<\/p>\n<p>Palantir, named after the \u201cseeing stones\u201d from J.R.R. Tolkien\u2019s\u00a0<em>The Lord of the Rings<\/em>, may be characterized as a \u201cmerchant of death,\u201d a term prominent in the 1930s regarding WWI profiteering. Alex Karp may be compared to Basil Zaharoff, a Greek arms dealer and industrialist, one of the wealthiest men of his time.
