US Commanders Want to Make War With Iran as \u2018Bloody\u2019 as Possible to Bring About Biblical End Times, Officers Report<\/h1>\n

One noncommissioned officer said he was directed to tell his troops that Trump was \u201canointed by Jesus\u201d and that war with Iran was \u201call part of God\u2019s divine plan\u201d to bring about Armageddon.<\/h3>\n

In less than a week, the US and Israel\u2019s war has rendered\u00a0unfathomable suffering<\/a>\u00a0upon the people of Iran. Over 180 schoolgirls and staffers were killed in a\u00a0massacre<\/a>\u00a0this weekend, and several\u00a0hospitals<\/a>\u00a0have reportedly been struck, amid numerous other attacks on civilians.<\/p>\n

But some US troops are being told the bloodletting is all a part of God\u2019s plan.<\/p>\n

At a briefing on Monday, as President\u00a0Donald Trump<\/a>\u00a0unleashed what has been called a \u201ccarpet bombing\u201d of\u00a0Tehran<\/a>, a combat-unit commander\u00a0reportedly<\/a>\u00a0told noncommissioned officers (NCOs) that the commander-in-chief was \u201canointed by Jesus to light the signal fire in Iran to cause Armageddon and mark his return to Earth.\u201d<\/p>\n

The complaint, sent by one of those noncommissioned officers, was just one of at least 110 similar reports received by the Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF) since Trump first launched strikes on Saturday.<\/p>\n

In compliance with the\u00a0First Amendment<\/a>, the Department of Defense has long adopted rules against\u00a0proselytizing<\/a>\u00a0within the armed forces. But under Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, an evangelical Christian who\u00a0has said<\/a>\u00a0the West must wage a \u201ccrusade\u201d against Islam, Christian nationalist invocations in the military have become commonplace.<\/p>\n
