Hillary Clinton\u00a0<\/strong>told members of Congress on Feb. 26 that\u00a0she does not have knowledge about crimes carried out by the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein<\/strong>\u00a0and Ghislaine Maxwell.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cI had no idea about their criminal activities. I do not recall ever encountering Mr. Epstein<\/strong>. I never flew on his plane or visited his island, homes, or offices,\u201d the former first lady and secretary of state said in her opening statement to the House Oversight Committee.<\/p>\n

As Zachary Stieber reported for The Epoch Times<\/a>,\u00a0<\/em>Clinton said she was horrified to learn about the crimes and was disappointed that Epstein only received 13 months in prison in 2008 after pleading guilty to soliciting a minor for prostitution.<\/p>\n

Clinton\u2019s husband, former President Bill Clinton, was also slated to testify to the panel in its investigation into Epstein.\u00a0The Clintons agreed to testify after the House of Representatives was prepared to hold them in contempt for originally declining to answer questions on the matter.<\/strong><\/p>\n
