Florida bill expands vaccine exemptions but keeps mandates in law contrary to Surgeon General Joe Ladapo’s plan to remove all mandates form state law<\/b><\/h2>"},"content":{"rendered":"

TALLAHASSEE \u2014 Florida may keep some required vaccine mandates after all.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

\n

Florida Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo made national news\u00a0in September<\/a>\u00a0when he announced a plan to remove all vaccine mandates from state law.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

\n

But so far, no lawmaker has put forth any bill that would do away with the mandated vaccines, which include required shots for polio, measles, mumps and more.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

\n

Instead, the bill moving forward this legislative session would keep the state\u2019s statutory vaccine requirements but make it easier for parents to opt out.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n
