Georgia<\/a>\u00a0Republican<\/a>\u00a0Rep.\u00a0Marjorie Taylor Greene<\/a>\u00a0posted a lengthy screed about Republican men and the threats she faces as a political figure, after someone suggested she stay in office.<\/p>\n

The firebrand congresswoman has\u00a0broken from the Republican Party<\/a>\u00a0on several major issues in recent months, a split that culminated in a falling out with President Donald\u00a0Trump<\/a>. In a\u00a0shock announcement\u00a0<\/a>last week, Greene said she plans to step down in January after enduring years of personal attacks and threats.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday afternoon, in response to one of Greene\u2019s (Twitter) X posts, right-wing internet personality Mike Cernovich insisted she rethink her resignation. \u201cYou need to serve out your full term,\u201d he\u00a0wrote<\/a>.<\/p>\n

She\u00a0responded with<\/a>\u00a0a tirade Wednesday, defending her decision to resign and alluding to the dangers of being an outspoken political figure in 2025.<\/p>\n

\u201cOh I haven\u2019t suffered enough for you while you post all day behind a screen? Do I have to stay until I\u2019m assassinated like our friend\u00a0Charlie Kirk<\/a>. Will that be good enough for you then?\u201d she wrote, referring to the\u00a031-year-old Turning Point USA founder\u2019s assassination\u00a0<\/a>in September.<\/p>\n

\u201cS*** posting on the internet all day isn\u2019t fighting. Get off YOUR ass and run for Congress. I fought harder than anyone in the real arena, not social media. Put down your little pebbles and put your money where your mouth is,\u201d Greene wrote.<\/p>\n

An hour later, she posted a screenshot of that tweet and continued her thought \u2014 this time taking aim at \u201cRepublican men.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI have been trying tell all you \u2018men\u2019 that our kitchen pantry is empty with spider webs, our house has been ransacked, the windows and doors are broken and busted, and the greedy rich bastards have twisted your minds into a sick state that you all continue in the two party toxic political system that acts like college football playoffs yet is burying you and your children and their children and their children in a pine box in a shallow grave,\u201d Greene continued.<\/p>\n

\u201cGet off your ass and fix your own damn food and clean up the kitchen when you\u2019re done,\u201d she concluded.<\/p>\n

Greene has represented Georgia\u2019s 14th congressional district since 2021. For years, she was a staunch MAGA ally of Trump, touting his \u201cAmerica First\u201d policies and even\u00a0promoting his 2020 election fraud claims<\/a>. Trump, in turn, called her a\u00a0\u201cfuture Republican star\u201d and \u201creal winner.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n
