In his 1983 autobiography\u00a0Flashbacks<\/a><\/i>, former\u00a0Harvard University<\/a>\u00a0psychology lecturer\u00a0Timothy Leary<\/a>\u00a0claimed to have met Meyer several times. According to Leary, Meyer first came to see him at Harvard to learn how to give\u00a0LSD<\/a>\u00a0sessions. They used\u00a0psilocybin<\/a>\u00a0together, and she warned him that there were “powerful men” in Washington who wanted to “use drugs for warfare, for espionage, for\u00a0brainwashing<\/a>” while she and a group of women wanted to use drugs “for peace, not war” by holding LSD sessions with powerful Washington figures to enlighten them.[<\/span>30]<\/span><\/a><\/sup>:\u200a129\u201330\u200a<\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Meyer gave Leary no clue that the president of the United States was one of the powerful men.<\/p>\n

Leary writes that Meyer became afraid after one of the women she recruited for her plan to “turn on” powerful men in Washington “snitched” and she warned Leary that they were both in danger.[<\/span>30]<\/span><\/a><\/sup>:\u200a191\u200a<\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Soon after Kennedy’s assassination he received a phone call from a sobbing Meyer in which she said, “They couldn’t control him any more. He was changing too fast … They’ve covered everything up.”[<\/span>30]<\/span><\/a><\/sup>:\u200a194\u200a<\/span><\/sup><\/p>\n

After the 1976 publication of the\u00a0National Enquirer<\/i>\u00a0article on James Truitt’s claims, Leary realized Meyer had been describing her affair and drug use with President Kennedy.[<\/span>30]<\/span><\/a><\/sup>:\u200a366\u200a<\/span><\/sup>\u00a0He makes this claim in his 1983 memoir.[<\/span>30]<\/span><\/a><\/sup>:\u200a366
