{"id":38894,"date":"2025-10-30T12:34:25","date_gmt":"2025-10-30T16:34:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stateofthenation.info\/?p=38894"},"modified":"2025-10-30T12:34:25","modified_gmt":"2025-10-30T16:34:25","slug":"u-s-constitution-has-come-under-withering-attack-by-a-so-called-conservative-potus","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateofthenation.info\/?p=38894","title":{"rendered":"<h1>U.S. Constitution has come under withering attack by a so-called conservative POTUS<\/h1>"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: center;\">Guardian of the Constitution:<br \/>\nJames Madison or Donald Trump<\/h2>\n<p>Renee Parsons<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">It is a good bet that when the majority of Americans cast their votes in the 2024 Presidential election, there were expectations that President-elect Donald Trump would abolish the \u2018deep state\u2019 rather than become its ally;<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>as a<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u2018<i>peace president\u2019<\/i> Trump would end the Ukraine war at his earliest convenience.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>There might have been an expectation that Trump policies would be in sync with Constitutional rights dedicated to freedom and liberty. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">If that last point sounds familiar, it should \u2013 it was the basis for the Founding Fathers who labored, fought and died to create \u2018<i>a more perfect Union, to establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, to provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare and secure the Blessings of Liberty<\/i>\u201d as they established the Constitutional Republic that remains celebrated today around the world.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Fast forward almost 250 years, there is ample evidence that the Trump White House continues to exhibit no basic obligation to defend the country\u2019s Constitutional heavy weights like First Amendment protections and its Bill of Rights both of which include explicit guarantees of individual freedom and liberty against governmental overreach.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">MAGA voters may experience an uncomfortable loss of credibility as the Trump Administration relinquishes control of foreign policy to Zionist domination allowing its alliance with Israel to undermine the essential role of the Constitution in every federal government objective. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Here is a brief synopsis of that which President Trump remains clueless:<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">As a student on his way to the New Jersey College (later Princeton University) James Madison came upon several Baptist Ministers who were jailed because of their religious preference. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>That may have been the beginning for the young Madison to devote himself to multiple freedoms which grew into creation of the US Constitution and a timeless Bill of Rights.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">With the blockade and surrender of Gen. Cornwallis\u2019 British army at the Battle of Yorktown in October, 1781, the American Revolution successfully concluded its eight year war for Independence.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>That war was led by General George Washington with a scruffy Continental Army while the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.americanhistorycentral.com\/entries\/treaty-of-paris-1783\/\"><span class=\"s1\">Treaty of Paris<\/span><\/a> was negotiated by John Adams, Benjamin Franklin and John Jay in 1783 which legally recognized the existence of the United States of America.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">As a result of the Revolutionary War victory, the Constitutional Convention reconvened in Philadelphia (May-September) 1787 to reassess the original Articles of Confederation which had been approved in 1775.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>The Convention continued to formulate, debate and revise the Articles as the delegates recognized they were on the threshold of establishing a <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Constitutional_Convention_(United_States)#History\"><span class=\"s1\">new international system<\/span><\/a> of government to be directly accountable to the American People.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">During the Convention, James Madison, a principle architect of the original Articles, took precise day-to-day <a href=\"https:\/\/www.loc.gov\/item\/63060034?__cf_chl_tk=jL_UyKCwBdxWv3xXzczDqqxPGH_t6EQg2SZmwigvL3Q-1761413887-1.0.1.1-0aZdMZ.ZMm1zYVpJlxiwtHvNQT32TGSJxSKjs0Nczcs\"><span class=\"s1\">Notes of the debates<\/span><\/a> which constitute the only \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/www.consource.org\/document\/james-madisons-notes-of-the-constitutional-convention-1787-9-17\/\"><span class=\"s1\">minutes<\/span><\/a>\u2019<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>in existence of the historic event.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">From Madison\u2019s thorough and detailed notes, we can determine that the predominantly strong central government advocates were serious minded delegates from all thirteen colonies.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>They were united by a pragmatic compromise while creating the legal framework for what became a transformational document with explicit guarantees protecting<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>fundamental individual freedoms against government interference.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Recognized as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.heritage.org\/american-founders\/leading-founders\/james-madison-father-the-constitution\"><span class=\"s1\">Father of the Constitution<\/span><\/a>, Madison introduced the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.archives.gov\/founding-docs\/bill-of-rights\/how-did-it-happen\"><span class=\"s1\">Bill of Rights<\/span><\/a> to the First Session of the House of Representative in June 1788.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">To facilitate public support for adoption of the Constitution, the Bill of Rights added ten Constitutional amendments which set an international standard for civil liberties with its First Amendment cherished in the vanguard of world acclaim; First in the<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>protection of free speech, religious choice, freedom of the press and assembly with the right to lobby government. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><i>\u201cCongress shall make no law respecting any establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the\u00a0<\/i><a href=\"https:\/\/www.britannica.com\/topic\/freedom-of-speech\"><span class=\"s1\"><i>freedom of speech<\/i><\/span><\/a><i>, or of the press; or the right of the<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.\u201d<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Madison\u2019s notes confirm there were no narcissistic blowhards in attendance at the Constitutional Convention to take credit for himself or dominate the debate.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">*** <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Fast forward 250 years as unexpected opposition to the revered First Amendment continues to intensify as an illustration of the President\u2019s noncompliance with the Constitution as the Trump Administration creeps towards authoritarianism in the name of anti-semitism against pro Palestinian students. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">As the President\u2019s fidelity for the continued Zionist attacks on Gaza, multiple American universities have experienced funding cuts because of pro-Palestinian demonstrations including ideological deportation of foreign-born students or student editorialists.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">The Federal government cancelled $400 Million in funding for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.msn.com\/en-us\/news\/us\/inside-the-harsh-terrain-of-columbia-universitys-first-amendment-predicament\/ar-AA1Pgjfi?ocid=BingNewsSerp\"><span class=\"s1\">Columbia University<\/span><\/a> because of its alleged failure to address Trump-defined anti semitism amid the Israel-Hamas conflict in Gaza. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">A recent court decision identified an \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2025\/09\/30\/politics\/first-amendment-judge-young-donald-trump-deportation-pro-palestinian-protesters\"><span class=\"s1\">impermissibly chilled\u2019<\/span><\/a> protected speech by university professors and students who were in support of Palestinians. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>The Court opined that<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>the \u201c<i>President\u2019s conduct violated the sacred oath of a president to \u201cpreserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States\u201d <\/i>as his administration represented a<i> \u2018full throated assault on the First Amendment.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">In a related matter infringing on the First Amendment, the Administration submitted a<i> <\/i><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Compact-for-Academic-Excellence-in-Higher-Education-10.1.pdf\"><span class=\"s1\"><i>Compact for Excellence in Higher Education<\/i><\/span><\/a><i> <\/i>to nine academic institutions which would adopt ten reforms in exchange for preference in federal funding.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Some of the \u2018reforms\u2019 could require a substantial readjustment beyond its current operational agenda such as abstention from certain political\/social events, review by government agencies like the DOJ, DHS, Treasury and Education with limits on attendance of foreign students\/endowments\/biologic and sex preferences.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">To date, all but one of the universities have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.msn.com\/en-us\/news\/other\/how-nine-colleges-responded-to-trumps-compact\/ar-AA1OVpkm?ocid=BingNewsSerp\"><span class=\"s1\">declined participation<\/span><\/a> in the Federal guidelines.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">In a separate setback for the First Amendment, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth issued new press credential rules at the Pentagon.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Refusal to sign the agreement would risk being penalized for routine newsgathering activity like requesting information from a source without explicit authorization as well as access for Pentagon personnel at public events.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Hegseth is a former part time FOX News employee with no specific foreign policy or federal government experience.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">From the Guidelines 17 pages: \u201c<i>DoW information must be approved for public release by an appropriate authorizing official before it is released, even if it is unclassified&#8221; <\/i>which also stated that<i> \u201cjournalists who report on news outside of the explicit commands of the Pentagon could be deemed &#8220;a security or safety risk.&#8221;<\/i><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">In what was described as an effort to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.msn.com\/en-us\/news\/us\/journalists-turn-in-access-badges-exit-pentagon-rather-than-agree-to-new-reporting-rules\/ar-AA1OxFW4?ocid=BingNewsSerp\"><span class=\"s1\">\u2018regulate a \u2018very disruptive\u2019 press<\/span><\/a>, failure to sign the agreement led to dozens of national media journalists turning in their access badge, packing up their desks and walking out of the Pentagon \u2013 to the detriment of a \u2018free\u2019 press and an informed American public.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">At issue is the ability to release classified or unclassified information that Secretary Hegseth had approved for release which drew a \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/www.press.org\/newsroom\/national-press-club-warns-pentagon-move-strip-reporter-access-strikes-heart-press-freedom\"><span class=\"s1\"><i>condemnation<\/i>\u2019<\/span><\/a> from the National Press Club<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>citing the \u201c<i>Pentagon\u2019s unprecedented move to strip dozens of journalists of access, a sweeping action that strikes at the heart of press freedom and public accountability<\/i>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">As National Press Club President Mike Balsamo summed up &#8220;<i>This is a direct assault on independent journalism at the very place where independent scrutiny matters most: the U.S. military<\/i>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">The new Pentagon press corps willing to sign the nondisclosure agreement include the Gateway Pundit, the National Pulse, Human Events, podcaster Tim Pool,<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Just the News website founded by journalist John Solomon, Frontlines by Turning Point USA and LindellTV, run by \u201cMyPillow\u201d CEO Mike Lindell.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">***<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Switching gears to the Fourteenth Amendment: in a massive display of power project, US President Donald Trump moved a Navy strike group of eight warships, a submarine<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>and destroyer into the Caribbean Sea under the guise of accusing Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro of narco-terrorism and corruption.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">In the pretense of conducting a transformational foreign policy, the Trump Administration conducted at least five extra-judicial attacks off the Venezuelan coast <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=97r2rTLedAo\"><span class=\"s1\">killing over thirty locals<\/span><\/a> in small motor boats in international waters in violation of the <a href=\"https:\/\/constitution.congress.gov\/constitution\/amendment-14\/\"><span class=\"s1\">Fourteenth Amendment<\/span><\/a>.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Added to the Constitution in 1868, the Fourteenth Amendment<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>prohibits depriving \u201c<i>any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law\u201d <\/i> with many of its individual equal protection rights found in the Bill of Rights.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">In other words, each of the Venezuelan victims of Trump\u2019s use of lethal force in international waters without a legal basis were deprived of the right to prove their innocence in a court of law and in violation of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aa.com.tr\/en\/world\/us-actions-against-venezuela-breach-international-law-un-experts-warn\/3722982\"><span class=\"s1\">international law<\/span><\/a> which amounts of extrajudicial execution as well as a violation of Article 2(4) of the UN Charter which asserts that covert ops may not be used or threaten force against another&#8217;s sovereignty or political independence.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Both Constitutional Amendments linger in the background like a forgotten foreign language in the Trump Administration with no conscience, lacking any moral judgement to conduct willful murder in international waters while offering no explanation or evidence and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.syracuse.com\/opinion\/2025\/10\/retired-judge-us-is-committing-murder-on-the-high-seas-guest-opinion-by-joseph-fahey.html\"><span class=\"s1\">without legal justification<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">When questioned by a reporter about the need for Congressional approval of war, Trump casually dismissed the question as if he had no responsibility as President to follow the law:<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">\u201c<i>I don\u2019t think we\u2019re going to necessarily ask for a declaration of war.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>I think we\u2019re just going to kill people that are bringing drugs into our country.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Okay?<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>We\u2019re going to kill them.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>You know, they\u2019re going to be, like, dead.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Okay?\u201d<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">No, Mr. President it is not OK.<i>\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">When a reporter suggested that \u201c<i>Maduro offered every thing in his country,,all the natural resources, offering mediation.\u201d <\/i>Asked why Trump refused Maduro\u2019s offer,<i> <\/i><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Trump responded<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u2018<i>He\u2019s offered everything.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>You\u2019re right\u2026You know why?<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Because he doesn\u2019t want to fuck around with the United States<\/i>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">***<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">While silence from Congress assumes a deafening roar as if there are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=u-nVnLTJIjQ\"><span class=\"s1\">no conscientious Members<\/span><\/a> willing to confront Trump\u2019s attacks on the Constitution and its Rule of Law:<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><i>\u201cWhatever happened to \u201c Senator\u201d Rand Paul?<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>He was never great but he went really BAD!.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>I got him elected<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>TWICE (in the great Commonwealth of Kentucky), but he just never votes positively for the Republican party,<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>He\u2019s a nasty liddle\u2019<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>guy<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>much like \u201cCongressman\u201d Thomas Massie, aka Rand Paul Jr., also of Kentucky<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>which I won three times in massive landslides), a sick Wacko, who refuses to vote for our great Republican Party, MAGA, or America First. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>It\u2019s really Weird!!!\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">and with regard to US Representative Tom Massie who is being primaried in 2026 by a Trump candidate<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><i>\u201cThird Rate Congressman Thomas Massie,, a weak and pathetic RINO from the great Commonwealth of Kentucky,<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>a place I love, and won SIX TIMES, must be thrown out of office, ASAP. ..He only votes against the Republican party, making life very easy for the Radical Left.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">The President\u2019s responses continue to raise questions about the condition of Trump\u2019s cognitive health.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p class=\"p2\"><b><i>Renee Parsons<\/i><\/b><i>\u00a0has been an elected public official in Colorado, an environmental lobbyist with Friends of the Earth and a staff member in the US House of Representative in Washington, DC.
