{"id":34119,"date":"2025-09-17T06:29:57","date_gmt":"2025-09-17T10:29:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stateofthenation.info\/?p=34119"},"modified":"2025-09-17T06:29:57","modified_gmt":"2025-09-17T10:29:57","slug":"kissing-the-noble-peace-prize-goodbye","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateofthenation.info\/?p=34119","title":{"rendered":"<h1>Kissing the Noble Peace Prize Goodbye<\/h1>"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">It is more than curious that a US Naval Armada recently appeared unexpectedly off the Venezuelan coast in South America with no official notice by President Trump\u2019s Administration. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Normal procedure would have obligated the sudden presence of up to eight Navy destroyers including one nuclear submarine along with 4,500 troops (including two thousand US Marines), 1,200 missiles and air assets pointed toward Venezuela to have required a basic explanation to the Venezuelan government.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Such behavior would be unexpected by any President although Donald Trump has not<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>exactly measured up to being the foreign policy \u2018<i>peace president\u2019<\/i> that many voters had anticipated. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Since inauguration, Trump\u2019s foreign policy continues to lack a humble deferential touch but rather struts as if the American Empire was still the great hegemon of the planet, unanswerable to any other nation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">For instance, one immediate fluke in Trump\u2019s parliamentary repertoire was his promise to immediately end the war in Ukraine which never, more than eight months later, materialized. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Instead, the Administration\u2019s first priority was a bombing attack on the Houthis in Yemen, most likely the poorest country on earth.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Yemen was protesting the Zionist genocidal campaign on the Palestinians in Gaza which, to date, Trump, has declined to speak out against Israel\u2019s slaughter of thousands of civilians.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Despite the Noble Peace Prize endorsement by Israel\u2019s world famous war criminal, the \u2018peace president\u2019 has continued to fail to inspire a peaceful world in his campaign to win the Prize. Almost immediately after admitting defeat in Yemen while spending $ 1 Billion on weapons, the US aided Israel\u2019s unprecedented attack on Iran by bombing three Iran nuclear processing facilities.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Whether that bombing campaign accomplished its ultimate goal of nuclear \u2018obliteration\u2019 remains <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bing.com\/copilotsearch?q=Dr.+Ted+Postol+on+Iran+bombing&amp;form=MSCSSA&amp;PC=WSBQUF\"><span class=\"s1\">problematic<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Meanwhile, Trump\u2019s oft-stated promise to end the war in Ukraine continues to fail to achieve its objective as the President remains blissfully unaware of his own executive authority to end the funding and solicitation of weapons to Ukraine. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>While decrying a continuation of \u2018<i>the killing\u2019 <\/i>in Ukraine, Trump has agreed to \u2018<i>sell\u2019 <\/i>weapons to NATO which will then provide those weapons directly to Ukraine; thus ensuring that the killing continues.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Continuing his warrior ethos, the President has most recently <a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/Politics\/trump-sign-order-renaming-pentagon-department-war\/story?id=125275019\"><span class=\"s1\">redefined the US Department of Defense<\/span><\/a> as the Department of War with an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/presidential-actions\/2025\/09\/restoring-the-united-states-department-of-war\/\"><span class=\"s1\">Executive Order<\/span><\/a> &#8211;<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>sure to be a winner with the Noble Committee.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201c<i>I think it&#8217;s a much more appropriate name, especially in light of where the world is right now. We have the strongest military in the world. We have the greatest equipment in the world. We have the greatest manufacturers of equipment by far. There&#8217;s nobody to even compete,&#8221;<\/i><i><\/i><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The President continued &#8220;<i>We won the first World War, we won the Second World War, we won everything before that and in between. And then we decided to go woke and we changed the name to Department of Defense<\/i>.\u201d\u00a0 The President\u2019s recollection is somewhat faulty as Russia has been credited with bringing WW II to an end while the US has not \u2018won\u2019 a war since the 1940\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">***<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Back to Venezuela:<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>When CBS News initially inquired <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/venezuela-deploys-warships-us-sends-destroyers-region\/\"><span class=\"s1\">why three US Navy destroyers<\/span><\/a> were being sent to Venezuela, CBS Senior National Correspondent Charlie D\u2019Agata was told by Administration officials that \u201c<i>it was strictly a <\/i><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=CEIfZ5XL3Os\"><span class=\"s1\"><i>White House decision<\/i><\/span><\/a><i>, not necessarily a military decision.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><i> <\/i>D\u2019Agata<i> <\/i>reported<i> <\/i>that the warships would depart for Venezuela \u2018<i>in the next few days to combat threats from Latin American drug cartels<\/i>\u201d and would \u201c<i>not rule out US troops on the ground.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Meanwhile White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt verified the Armada\u2019s impending arrival and that \u2018<i>the president has been very clear and consistent<\/i>\u201d that he is prepared to use <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/us-accuses-venezuelan-regime-narco-terrorism-alliances-tren-de-aragua-sinaloa-cartel\"><span class=\"s1\"><i>&#8220;every element of American power<\/i><\/span><\/a><i> to stop drugs from flooding into our country and to bring those responsible to justice.&#8221;\u00a0 <\/i><i><\/i><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Leavitt added that<i> &#8220;The Maduro regime <\/i><a href=\"https:\/\/www.latintimes.com\/white-house-says-it-prepared-use-every-element-american-power-maduro-regime-warships-move-588582\"><span class=\"s1\"><i>is not the legitimate government<\/i><\/span><\/a><i> of Venezuela. It is a narco-terror cartel. Maduro is a fugitive head of this cartel who has been indicted in the United States for trafficking drugs into the country<\/i>.&#8221;<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Leavitt offered no evidence<i> <\/i>to confirm the Administration\u2019s charge about Maduro.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Even prior to arrival of the Naval armada, the US Dept. of Justice and Secretary of State announced a $50 million reward for <span class=\"s1\">information leading to the arrest<\/span> and\/or conviction of Venezuelan President Nicol\u00e1s Maduro for violating U.S. narcotics laws.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>It is unclear why US narcotic laws are the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timesnownews.com\/world\/us-warships-circle-venezuela-is-this-a-drug-war-or-race-to-grab-liquid-gold-china-watches-closely-explained-article-152535095\"><span class=\"s1\">legal basis<\/span><\/a> for the international arrest of a non-US citizen.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, while offering no evidence, commented that \u201c<i>Nicolas Madro is an indicted drug trafficker in the United States and he is a fugitive from American justice<\/i>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">There has been no evidence that Madro is leader of the mythical <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Cartel_of_the_Suns\"><span class=\"s1\">Cartel de Los Soles<\/span><\/a> or that the Cartel even exists.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Within days after the Armada\u2019s arrival, Trump announced that the US had fired on a small motor boat in international waters and killed its eleven occupants who were accused of being Tren de Aragua <a href=\"https:\/\/justthenews.com\/government\/security\/trump-confirms-us-targeted-drug-boat-venezuela\"><span class=\"s1\">narco-terrorists<\/span><\/a>.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201c\u2026 <i>just over the last few minutes, we literally shot out a boat, a drug carrying boat, lot of drugs in that boat<\/i>,&#8221; Trump bragged to reporters.\u00a0<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>&#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=RVHHaWxyW8k\"><span class=\"s1\"><i>We have a lot of drugs<\/i><\/span><\/a><i> pouring into our country, coming in for a long time, these came out of Venezuela, and coming out very heavily from Venezuela,<\/i>&#8221; he added. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>&#8220;<i>A lot of drugs in that boat. And you&#8217;ll be seeing that, and you&#8217;ll be reading about that. It just happened moments ago<\/i>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">While the Trump administration provided no details of Venezuela\u2019s importation of drugs into the US,<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>what kind of drugs or who were the boat occupants or, as has now has been revealed, the boat was returning to Venezuelan shore.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated<i> \u201cInstead of interdicting it, on the president\u2019s orders, we blew it up \u2013 and it will happen again.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Not just narco-traffickers; these are narco-terrorists. We\u2019re not just going to hunt for drug dealers with little fast boats and say let\u2019s try to arrest them. No, we\u2019re going to.. the president has said that he wants to wage war on them because they have been waging war on us or thirty years and no one has responded<\/i>.\u201d<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Rubio rejected a UN report that identifies <a href=\"https:\/\/www.msn.com\/en-us\/news\/world\/marco-rubio-rejects-un-report-about-drug-production-in-venezuela-i-don-t-care-what-the-un-says\/ar-AA1LTu3I?ocid=BingNewsSerp\"><span class=\"s1\">87% of South American drug running<\/span><\/a> occurring through Colombia and Ecuador rather than Venezuela since it is Colombia which grows the coco while<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Ecuador does the illegal imports with fentanyl crossing into the US via the Mexican cartels.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201c<i>I don\u2019t care what the UN says<\/i>. <i>He&#8217;s a fugitive from U.S. justice indicted by a New York grand jury. He&#8217;s not the legitimate leader of Venezuela<\/i>,&#8221; Rubio added that the order to &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.msn.com\/en-us\/news\/world\/marco-rubio-rejects-un-report-about-drug-production-in-venezuela-i-don-t-care-what-the-un-says\/ar-AA1LTu3I?ocid=BingNewsSerp\"><span class=\"s1\">blow up&#8221;<\/span><\/a> the vessel rather than interdict it came from President Trump.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Rubio further added that Trump is &#8220;<i>going to use the full power of America and the full might of the US to take on and eradicate these drug cartels no matter where they&#8217;re operating from and no matter how long they&#8217;ve been able to act with impunity,<\/i>&#8220;<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Secretary of War\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.latintimes.com\/pete-hegseth-warns-maduro-after-attack-against-vessel-off-venezuela-should-worried-589119\"><span class=\"s1\">Pete Hegseth\u00a0<\/span><\/a>explicitly warned that Maduro, acting as the kingpin of a narco state with a $50 million indictment &#8220;<i>should be worried<\/i>&#8221; after the recent boat bombing.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span>Further, in a Sept. 4<span class=\"s2\"><sup>th<\/sup><\/span> interview at Ft. Benning, Hegseth added \u201c<i>we smoked a drug boat and there\u2019s eleven narco terrorists at the bottom of the ocean and when other people try to do that, they\u2019re going to meet the same fate<\/i>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Maduro <a href=\"https:\/\/www.msn.com\/en-us\/news\/world\/america-first-rubio-and-trump-just-drew-a-red-line-for-narco-terrorists\/ar-AA1M0A6x?ocid=BingNewsVerp\"><span class=\"s1\">responded<\/span><\/a> that US action was an \u201c<i>extravagant, unjustifiable,<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>immoral, absolutely <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>criminal and bloody threat<\/i>\u201d and that his country was at &#8220;<i>maximum preparedness<\/i>&#8221; for possible U.S. aggression.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Several days later, on Truth Social, Rubio\u2019s prediction came true as President Trump escalated US search for Venezuelan drugsters with a <a href=\"https:\/\/truthsocial.com\/@realDonaldTrump\/posts\/115210075167747572?ftag=MSF0951a18\"><span class=\"s1\">second motor boat attack<\/span><\/a> killing three Venezuelans in international waters.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>There was no identification of who were the individuals transporting \u2018illegal narcotics\u2019 on the 1300 mile trip to the US.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Missing were any details about specific narcotics or how the boat occupants were identified as \u2018terrorists\u201d.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=fdGE7lnqYK8\">Venezuelan Minister of Interior<\/a><\/span> Diosdado Cabella denied that any of the victims in the two boat attacks were Tren de Araqua and inquired how the US determined there were drugs on board and why none of the occupants were arrested.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">In response, Maduro stated that relations with the US are \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.msn.com\/en-us\/news\/world\/maduro-declares-venezuela-us-relations-completely-broken\/ar-AA1MBJX9?ocid=winp2fptaskbarhover&amp;cvid=fd24e384b51a4b6bbea5949e5b7b7763&amp;ei=24\"><span class=\"s1\"><i>completely broken<\/i><\/span><\/a><i>, destroyed due to US military and political aggression<\/i>\u201d adding that regime change is the true goal with drug allegations a mere fa\u00e7ade for US military intimidation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">***<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The Armada\u2019s presence in Venezuelan waters is not the first indication of the Trump Administration\u2019s relentless pursuit of labelling an alleged narco-drug presence or its President Maduro as the lead narco-terrorist.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">While vigilant US pursuit of Venezuelan oil can be attributed to its presence as the world\u2019s largest known reserves of oil and natural gas, there is no requirement for Venezuela or any other nation to obey a US Presidential Executive Order.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">US interest in Venezuela can be attributed to a series of self-serving Presidential Executive Orders which include numerous economic sanctions at least one against Venezuela\u2019s State-owned Energy Office (the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/PDVSA\"><span class=\"s1\">PdVSA<\/span><\/a>) as well as sanctions aimed at creating economic and political destabilization. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Beginning with Obama\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.presidency.ucsb.edu\/documents\/executive-order-13692-blocking-property-and-suspending-entry-certain-persons-contributing\"><span class=\"s1\">EO 13692<\/span><\/a> (March 5, 2015) was followed by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.federalregister.gov\/documents\/2017\/08\/29\/2017-18468\/imposing-additional-sanctions-with-respect-to-the-situation-in-venezuela\"><span class=\"s1\">EO 13808<\/span><\/a> (8-24-t<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>2017),<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.federalregister.gov\/documents\/2018\/03\/21\/2018-05916\/taking-additional-steps-to-address-the-situation-in-venezuela\"><span class=\"s1\">EO 13827<\/span><\/a> (5-21-2018), <a href=\"https:\/\/www.federalregister.gov\/documents\/2018\/05\/24\/2018-11335\/prohibiting-certain-additional-transactions-with-respect-to-venezuela\"><span class=\"s1\">EO 13835<\/span><\/a> (05-21-2018), <a href=\"https:\/\/www.federalregister.gov\/documents\/2011\/11\/15\/2011-29683\/promoting-efficient-spending\"><span class=\"s1\">EO 13589<\/span><\/a> (11-1-2018), <a href=\"https:\/\/www.federalregister.gov\/documents\/2018\/11\/02\/2018-24254\/blocking-property-of-additional-persons-contributing-to-the-situation-in-venezuela\"><span class=\"s1\">EO 13850<\/span><\/a> (11-2-2019) and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.federalregister.gov\/documents\/2019\/08\/07\/2019-17052\/blocking-property-of-the-government-of-venezuela\"><span class=\"s1\">EO 13884 <\/span><\/a> (8-5-2019).<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The most recent US Executive Order filed by the Trump Administration, was<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.federalregister.gov\/documents\/2025\/03\/27\/2025-05440\/imposing-tariffs-on-countries-importing-venezuelan-oil\"><span class=\"s1\">EO 14245<\/span><\/a> (3-24-2025) entitled \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.federalregister.gov\/documents\/2025\/03\/27\/2025-05440\/imposing-tariffs-on-countries-importing-venezuelan-oil\"><span class=\"s1\"><i>Imposing Tariffs on Countries Importing Venezuelan Oil<\/i><\/span><\/a><i> (directly or indirectly)\u201d <\/i>several months prior to the flotilla\u2019s arrival.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">All Executive Orders specifically cite that the \u201c<i>regime of Nicolas Maduro<\/i> <i>poses an unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security and foreign policy of the United States<\/i>.\u201d<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">These are the words of a declining Empire, once accustomed to unquestioned obedience from almost every other nation on the planet. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>The intent of US sanctions has been to<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>destroy Venezuela\u2019s energy industry and to act as agent for Venezuela\u2019s resources..<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Meaning exactly what its title implies, the US believes it is entitled to make demands on every other country, the EO states that \u201c<i>On or after April 2, 2025, a tariff of 25 percent may be imposed on all goods imported into the United States from any country that imports Venezuelan oil, whether directly from Venezuela or indirectly (through third parties).\u201d<\/i><i><\/i><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">While the Administration has not informed which countries have been cited; as of early 2025, some countries which <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bing.com\/search?pglt=299&amp;q=Countries+that+import+Venezuelan+oil&amp;cvid=d3ec13ad2e1547a4a683c666817f7818&amp;gs_lcrp=EgRlZGdlKgYIABBFGDkyBggAEEUYOTIGCAEQABhAMgYIAhAAGEAyBggDEAAYQDIGCAQQABhAMgYIBRAAGEAyBggGEAAYQDIGCAcQABhAMgYICBAAGEDSAQkyODc5M2owajGoAgCwAgA&amp;FORM=ANNTA1&amp;PC=LCTS\"><span class=\"s1\">import Venezuelan oil<\/span><\/a> include the US, India, Spain, Cuba, Turkey with China being the largest importer at over 50% with 503k bpd as well as other lesser imports to Brazil, Russia, Italy, Singapore and Vietnam.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">In addition, no doubt taking its lead from the US, the EU and UK have also filed <a href=\"https:\/\/globalsanctions.com\/region\/venezuela\/\"><span class=\"s1\">multiple sanctions<\/span><\/a> against Venezuela promising an arms embargo, travel restrictions and an asset freeze.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">***<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Despite home to the world\u2019s largest proven oil reserves and the fourth largest natural gas reserves, Venezuela has never been able to profit from its own natural resources given its decades-long struggle against US hegemony<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>of crippling sanctions and economic instability.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Venezuela\u2019s oil exports have been targeted since at least the 1999 election of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/wesleyhill\/2025\/09\/03\/will-china-save-venezuela\/\"><span class=\"s1\">Hugo Chavez<\/span><\/a> who denied US energy demands with increased political turmoil.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>By 2019,<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kpler.com\/blog\/trump-policy-on-venezuela-will-be-decisive-for-heavy-crude-markets\"><span class=\"s1\">imposition of US crushing sanctions<\/span><\/a> brought threats of election fraud and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.msn.com\/en-us\/politics\/government\/a-deadly-strike-marks-a-moment-in-rubio-s-long-desire-to-confront-venezuela\/ar-AA1LUWV2?ocid=BingNewsSerp\"><span class=\"s1\">regime change<\/span><\/a>; further cultivating civil instability, economic collapse and an unsustainable government.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">***<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">In an undeniable sign that the Old World Order is crumbling, China <a href=\"https:\/\/www.msn.com\/en-us\/news\/world\/will-china-come-to-maduro-s-rescue-opinion\/ar-AA1MpDA5?ocid=msedgntp&amp;pc=LCTS&amp;cvid=68c4db1a9aa84da899f5d59ae67a55da&amp;ei=9\"><span class=\"s1\">solidified its support<\/span><\/a> with Venezuela by identifying an opportunity to build a more resilient relationship. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>As a reliable exporter of Venezuela\u2019s heavy crude, China offered the Maduro government a cooperative partnership and exposure to an expanding multipolar world with its broad global markets and trade infrastructure, cooperative loans<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>with a generous repayment plan and an investment strategy of diplomatic opportunities and economic stability as Venezuela escaped the isolation of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsweek.com\/will-china-come-maduros-rescue-opinion-2127730\"><span class=\"s1\">decades of US strangling sanctions<\/span><\/a> and political threats.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">What the Trump Administration was not counting on was Venezuela\u2019s <a immediately to the US Navy\u2019s heavy-handed presence off the Venezuelan coast.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>In response to American pressure, the Chinese sent a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.firstpost.com\/world\/china-sends-naval-ships-to-american-waters-as-trump-ramps-us-military-pressure-on-venezuela-13931934.html\"><span class=\"s1\">hospital ship<\/span><\/a> into the<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Caribbean as geopolitical pressure mounts on the Maduro presidency.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning responded to questions about the naval deployment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">&#8220;<i>China <\/i><a
