Yesterday, President Trump released a video outlining his plans to reign-in government interference in free speech. It is causing chaos at FBI Headquarters in Washington.<\/p>\n
Speaking to several of my former colleagues, from the years I worked with the Joint Terrorism Task Force, word comin from inside the bureau generally trends like this “FBI Employees are terrified of being fired. He’s ‘Going to Smash the Place to Pieces.’ and they’re reportedly terrified it will be a “bloodbath” of firings once President-elect Donald Trump is inaugurated.<\/p>\n
Needless to say, I and the other guys I spoke with heard this news with shit-eatin-grins on our faces.<\/p>\n
We knew back on 2007-08 they were going down a terrible road.\u00a0 We fought the intrusive changes they were implementing, but the “woke” crowd were in too many high level positions.<\/p>\n
So here we are, years later, and . . . . . . FINALLY . . . . . the American people literally pulled the rug right out from under all those high-and-mighty supervisors, managers, executives . . . . and now they’re all fearing they’re going to lose their jobs.<\/p>\n
They SHOULD.<\/p>\n
The FBI’s mission is to investigate CRIME and gather Intelligence to avert or to solve CRIME; not social media\u00a0 postings with sharp political opinions.<\/p>\n
THe Bureau is not supposed to “leak” information about cases or investigations so as to protect the innocent from the absolute STIGMA of being “under investigation by the FBI.”<\/p>\n
But instead of being apprehensive about what they had begun doing, many (VERY MANY) of the new people embraced it like an addiction!<\/p>\n
Well, well, well.\u00a0 All of that is about to come to an end.<\/p>\n
Amendment One of our Constitution forbids government from passing any law abridging freedom of speech. FBI was _supposed to be__\u00a0 respectful of that.\u00a0 They weren’t.<\/p>\n
Over many years, several Congressional Actions have run roughshod over that, and worse, several administrative interpretations, have made government intrusion all the worse.<\/p>\n
The big shots within the FBI thought there was nothing anybody could do about it.\u00a0 They just found out otherwise.<\/p>\n
To those of you about to be fired, you brought this upon yourselves.\u00a0 No sympathy – at all.<\/p>\n
As the January Inauguration approaches, many of you had best have your Resume’ updated and circulating widely.<\/p>\n
