For Trump, every move the USA makes needs to be a win-lose proposition\u2014America wins at the expense of the foreign trading partner(s). He operates like an old school robber baron and kleptocratic oligarch who always has to have the upper hand even if it means brazenly using coercion and\/or force.\u00a0 And because of his nakedly despotic MO, America is more hated by the week.<\/p>\n<p>Yes, various incompetent U.S. administrations down through the decades have negotiated unfavorable trading arrangements and\/or created highly imbalanced trade deficits, but that was always done with ulterior motives. In other words, those apparently \u2018bad deals\u2019 were permitted as a means of compensating for other specific gains or political advantages that the United States wanted to receive in return.\u00a0 Just take a close look at how the World Bank and International Monetary Fund have taken over whole countries over the years to understand the often clandestine deals that were made in think tanks inside the Beltway and corporate board rooms across the USA.<\/p>\n<p>The crucial point here is that neither Trump nor any other future POTUS can \u2018Make America Great Again\u2019 in a manner where the terms and conditions of the new trading contracts are dictated by Washington. Those days are over, and Trump doesn\u2019t seem to be aware that they\u2019re long gone. He\u2019s completely clueless about the rapidly emerging reality that his very arrogant and tyrannical approach is pushing all of America\u2019s competitors together and making them much stronger (e.g. BRICS alliance).<\/p>\n<p>In point of fact, Trump\u2019s version of MAGA is guaranteed to dissolve the old US-dominated unipolar world (which is a good thing) and to create a new international order where the USA is detested and shunned, scorned and marginalized.
