\nat The Burning Platform<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Please know that the SOTN editor was invited to write this “Special Message”, by our close collaborators at The Burning Platform<\/strong><\/a>, to our many fellow truth-seekers at TBP.\u00a0 Very few folks are aware that the top writers at both of our websites started posting at The Market Oracle<\/strong><\/a> at the very same time during the historic market crash of 2008.<\/p>\n

As many of you folks know, SOTN published a piece about a month ago informing our followers that we were closing down this June.\u00a0 Their response to this announcement was both immediate and one of great disappointment.\u00a0 The most common email we have received over the past month is that we needed to stay open, however that can happen.\u00a0 And, that we had to maintain our 6 primary sites as libraries and\/or in an archival format so valuable is the content because in many cases we are the only publisher and it cannot even be found on the Wayback Machine or similar archiving sites.<\/p>\n

Long story short, SOTN conducted our first donation campaign in 17 years this June to accommodate those numerous requests.\u00a0 Up until this month, we had no donation button, sold no products or services, and hosted no small business advertising or ad delivery networks.\u00a0 Hence, no revenue except from a very generous angel who has since gone through difficult times.<\/p>\n

It should be noted that our close relationship with TBP has greatly enhanced our daily content.\u00a0 Our readers really like the often entertaining posts and great comedy videos as a balance to the very serious SOTN content.\u00a0 Of course, TBP features some of the best news reports, commentary and analysis on the Internet as well.\u00a0 Some of our best articles have even come from comments posted at TBP.<\/p>\n

Therefore, SOTN and TBP have developed a long-term and mutually beneficial relationship in the Alt Media<\/em> space that is quite unusual.\u00a0 And it behooves us to continue this synergistic collaboration, especially as we enter the final phase of The Fourth Turning<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Toward that end, we invite all followers of TBP, who are also regular readers\/viewers of SOTN, to consider supporting State of the Nation<\/strong><\/a> with a one-time contribution.\u00a0 For this donation campaign is both our first and our last.\u00a0 With enough donations, we expect the total proceeds to carry SOTN and associated websites through at least until the end of the world (that’s how TBP humor has rubbed off on us).<\/p>\n
