First, let\u2019s state the obvious: Trump\u2019s pinprick attacks on Iran inflicted \u201cno substantial damage\u201d to their nuclear facilities. The bunker busting bombs did apparently strike near the entry of two of the facilities, but those sites were already locked down (evacuated?) in preparation for the bombing. The government announced on Sunday that all the enriched uranium at those sites had already been taken to safe locations \u201cseveral days before\u201d<\/b>, in fact, the government had already published satellite photos of the closed sites 48 hours before the attacks. So, while the attacks have significant symbolic value (and could serve as a pretext to WW3), the damage was minimal and will not significantly set back Iran\u2019s nuclear program. So \u2026 not only has the fake \u201cbunker buster\u201d attack failed to \u201cobliterate\u201d Iran\u2019s nuclear facilities, but it will likely result in Iran withdrawing from the non-proliferation treaty, and formally joining the nuclear club.<\/span><\/p>\n

So, why did Trump give the green light for such a risky operation when nearly all the experts warned that the 30,000-pound GBU-57 \u201cbunker busting\u201d bomb was not going to work?
