TALLAHASSEE, Fla.\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed a bill on Friday that prohibits geoengineering and certain weather modification activities, making it a third-degree felony.<\/p>\n

Senate Bill 56<\/a>\u00a0repeals the state\u2019s ability to issue permits for geoengineering and weather modification. It also prohibits the release of chemicals or apparatuses into the state\u2019s atmosphere that are \u201cintended to affect the weather, temperature or the intensity of sunlight.\u201d<\/p>\n
