Another $50 MILLION for Ukraine?!?!?!<\/i><\/h1>"},"content":{"rendered":"

The US State Department has sent notice to Congress that they have CERTIFIED a proposed license under the Arms Export Control Act for another $50 Million worth of “Defense Articles” for . . . Ukraine.<\/p>\n

The Congressional Record today shows the following notice:<\/p>\n

EC-859<\/a>. A communication from the Senior Bureau Official, Legislative Affairs, Department of State, transmitting, pursuant to section 36(c) of the Arms Export Control Act, the certification of a proposed license for the export of defense articles, including technical data, and defense services to Ukraine in the amount of $50,000,000 or more (Transmittal No. DDTC 25-027) received in the Office of the President pro tempore; to the Committee on Foreign Relations.<\/p>\n

What happened to “no more aid to Ukraine?”\u00a0 What happened to negotiating a ceasefire or a peace deal?\u00a0 What happened to all the ongoing meetings between the US and Russia?<\/p>\n

The notice describes $50 million — OR MORE — in “defense articles” without saying what those defense articles actually are.\u00a0 What are they?<\/p>\n

Since they require a license under the Arms Export Control Act, it seems logical they are more weapons.<\/p>\n

Why are we sending more weapons to Ukraine?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Is this just some song and dance from government; they\u00a0say\u00a0we’re working toward peace, they\u00a0say\u00a0we’re negotiating with the Russians, and now, (surprise!) we’re sending more weapons????<\/p>\n

It’s starting to look as though we’re being “slow walked in a circle” so that after all the talk for weeks and months is done,\u00a0we are right back where we started<\/strong>, still doing exactly, precisely, the same thing we were doing when this trouble all began.<\/p>\n
