READ HERE:<\/a><\/strong> An EU report has called on European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen to create a \u201cfully fledged\u201d<\/em>\u00a0intelligence agency to coordinate the clandestine activity of member states. However, even proponents of the idea admit it would be costly and unpopular.<\/p>\n

Penned by former Finnish President Sauli Niinisto and published on Wednesday, the report outlines the EU\u2019s readiness for war, and makes a multitude of vague recommendations. Officials in Brussels are advised, for example, to cultivate a\u00a0\u201cpreparedness culture,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0and to\u00a0\u201cstrengthen civil-military coordination frameworks.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
