(The Hill<\/a>) \u2014 President-elect Trump announced a\u00a0slate of tech appointments<\/a>\u00a0in posts on his Truth Social platform on Sunday.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am pleased to announce the brilliant Team that will be working in conjunction with our White House A.I. & Crypto Czar, David O. Sacks,\u201d Trump\u00a0said on Truth Social<\/a>. \u201cTogether, we will unleash scientific breakthroughs, ensure America\u2019s technological dominance, and usher in a Golden Age of American Innovation!\u201d<\/p>\n

In his posts, the president-elect said that his pick for White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) director is Michael Kratsios and his pick for the President\u2019s Council of Advisors for Science and Technology (PCAST) executive director and OSTP director\u2019s counselor is Lynne Parker.<\/p>\n

Kratsios spent time in the\u00a0previous Trump administration<\/a>\u00a0as the\u00a0president-elect\u2019s<\/a>\u00a0chief technology officer. He was also\u00a0tapped to be the<\/a>\u00a0acting undersecretary of Defense for research and engineering during the president-elect\u2019s last time in the White House.<\/p>\n

According to a\u00a0biography on the<\/a>\u00a0University of Tennessee, Knoxville\u2019s website, Parker serves as the school\u2019s associate vice chancellor. The biography also states that as a part of the OSTP between 2018 and 2022, Parker headed up national policy efforts focused on artificial intelligence (AI) in various roles including U.S. deputy chief technology officer.<\/p>\n

Trump also said the Presidential Council of Advisers for Digital Assets or \u201cthe \u2018Crypto Council,\u2019\u201d which he described as \u201ca new advisory group composed of luminaries from the Crypto industry\u201d will have an executive director in Bo Hines.<\/p>\n
